Here's the question:
What song made you a Mark Lanegan fan? Can anyone else remember?
For me, it's The River Rise. Once I heard that song on the Hype! Soundtrack, I knew there had to be more to the Screaming Trees.

Definitely House a home...
Lanegan's voice is awesome... And Mike Johnson's guitar style is perfect...

I always liked River Rise, too. I watched Hype a month or so ago and was practically crying when it came on becuase it was during the whole hospital rumours thing.
But the first solo album I heard was The Winding Sheet, because my boyfriend had it because Kurdt Kobain is on it.... I think I had fallen in love by Museum.

I remember well... it was She's not for you
followed by House a home and Dollar bill, on the radio.

If I remember well.. That was sad and touching..

Radio station, Triple j, played Bubblegum one week as it's feature album. It took 6 weeks for our copy to arrive but it was worth it

I bought Sweet Oblivion used while on a trip to Boston. I loved it, but never really dug into who they were. I ended up seeing bubblegum right after release and being like "I recognize that name..." and buying it out of nowhere (ugh, no pun intended...). I was hooked as soon as the vocals came in on When Your Number isn't Up, but Bombed caught me too.
