Here is the place to ask questions or make comments about what's being said in the other thread. Let's try to keep that thread questions for Mark only. Come here to say "I was going to ask that one!!!!!!" Play nice. Thanks!

I love that he's doing this but I really wish we could hear the album first.

this album is going to be massive. i can't believe alll the build up for it. this time last year, we were getting bobbleheads. now we are anticipating a new album. i'm not sure how, but the bobbleheads must be connected to the release of this album somehow...

Personally, I've never anticipated a new album so feverishly. It's almost maddening. (I hope his new live shows aren't going to be "played" by bobbleheads with music in the background )

Are we allowed more than one question each? BeyondThePale from Sydney, Australia asks: Does the album come with a lyric sheet? If not, would you please give Raeni a copy of the lyrics to post on onewhiskey? (So we're not singing along "knives and chains" or "Mike and Jane's" instead of "9th and James".......and yes, it nearly happened) Can I join you in that request? I'm nearly praying for a lyric sheet.

And I can imagine Mark laughing hysterically off to the side of the stage.

Do we get more than one question? Sorry, I misunderstood - didnt realise we could make up as many as we like.
How about:
- Marmite, or peanut butter? - Favourite Bob Dylan album? - Does a tree falling on Shrodinger's cat cause a hummingbird to scream in Japan?

I think they're meant to be Blues Funeral related. (Although I wouldn't mind hearing the answer to the Bob Dylan question.)

Not a question, an evidence suggested by Foz - Onewhiskey's Lungsey's friends say : THANK YOU FOR THE CARD FROM ALL OF US FOR HER !!! . Heheheheh, yeah! I would love to ask him if he feels the overall mood of the album might be too much when in mourning and which particulair songs would he suggest i give a miss

If only he knew how important that card for me is and how much love is poured into it by so many of you! And how special it is to have his words of condolance on it, too!

Stephanie from Southwest Virginia asks, could you comment on the religious imagery you often use in your lyrics? I read an interview once where you said you were not religious but liked the mood of those images. What mood and meaning do Christian symbols convey for you? If my recall is correct that you do not subscribe to any traditional religious views, do you have any spiritual or existential ideas that hold power for you? christian form switzerland would also like to get an answer on this question (maybe beginning about burning jaccobs ladder?) :-) and thanks for managing this!!

I think Maidli's blush was cute.
And I wonder what mimie meant with the card game being close to Mark's universe. I'm seriously intrigued by that.

And I wonder what mimie meant with the card game being close to Mark's universe. I'm seriously intrigued by that. In fact I think I'm just totally ouf of my mind I play Magic The Gathering myself, and there are a lot of religious references, and mythic creatures like the Leviathan, and gravediggers, etc... So when I first read the song titles, I just can't help but thinking about this universe. But even if Mark looks like the kind of guy who may stay at home and play cards, he is probably a bit old for all that stuff, not his generation! ;-)
