The Polyphonic Spree's first album, actually strictly speaking I was given it free but I still regret it, the relentless cheerfulness & happy happy vibe was enough to drive me to violence

"Blinking Lights & Other Revelations"--Eels......................i thought it was going to be good, but to me...it's a big wank-fest....and not in the fun way. maybe if it wasn't a double album, it wouldn't wank so hard....but damn....i get it, guys....you're sad....i understand....stop making boring records about it.

Albums I cannot get rid of because used record stores won't even take them, so they're doomed to live in a box in the trunk of my car:
Jane's Addiction- Ritual de la Habitual (edited cover) Tracy Bonham- The Burdens of Being Upright Hole- Celebrity Skin RHCP- What Hits?

I made a big mistake when I was about 20, I asked Mr Fearnley, of Alan Fearnley records, in his mind, were the best Bob Dylan albums to buy. Highway 61 revisited, Blonde on blonde and Blood on the tracks..oh dear dear me(own opinion warning) I've bought some shit in my time (The Who included) but fook me that was creme de la shit, i still wake up in cold sweats thinking about it. And Mr F wouldn't give me a refund.

Sticking sort of with the subject, there's a whole lot of things I've bought that should be better. Iggy's remix of Raw Power was a waste of money - original is better. Similarly Bruce should have done much better with Lucky Town, Human Touch etc. And I hesitate to admit that I like Beefheart, but still don't get Trout Mask. I'm going to volunteer Nickelback - no merit whatsoever.

I've tried over the years with Mr D and The Who, and I just can't get it. But then again I like Duke Garwood. It's a funny little world.

St. Anger by Metallica. Horrendous to say the least. I'll never listen to that mess again. I understand, though, that it was made during a very difficult time for the band.

Hysteria-Def Leppard, I think I was fucking trippin when I bought that. I thought I\it was cool to be listening to that. Just to impress!!! Fair enough I'd just turned 16 but that's no excuse. I think I swapped it for The Cult Electric which is a truly wonderful album.
