Hey this 'sharing vibe' was OK at first but now when you want to see the complete package Live things are all fucked up. The vibe works well for the listeners cos of amount of work being recorded but for the fans it's starting to turn cheap and nasty. I believe it was the "I'm too good to travel all 250km to Byron if the fuckers wont come and see me here in Brisbane"...that did it for Mark... Again, only so he could stay home with the women and children........and [EDIT]...

A third Sydney show has been announced at the UNSW Roundhouse on Tuedsay the 19 July!
In a dream world a solo Lanegan show could be played in Sydney on the 20th but we don't even know if he's going to be coming out at all! Remember he was going to do one when Queens came out in 2003 but cancelled it cause Queens ended up doing an extra show on that date.
Also I should say that I've been playing a Lanegan bootleg I got off gemm.com which has a collection of covers (including amazing Tim Buckley and Kinks covers), b-sides, etc. The Bootleg is called "B-Sides and Rare Tracks".

Hate to be a downer but in '03 their schedule was a lot looser and with Weird Chill just being released at the time it could have been a reasonable thing to suggest he may do a gig during that visit. One good thing...if he doesn't show up with them this time....he will hopefully have a greater tendancy to return on his own post next solo album. 26/7 for me....OOOOO YEAH!!

I guess his exit after Oliveri really was intended to be a permanent split and his Lullaby was a passing token gesture....oh well I'm looking forward to the transition to elsewhere...
