Villa to finish second, with United as champions again.

Depends on whether or not O'Neill gets his head turned by the Chelsea job, although I suspect that Abramovich'll throw common sense out of the window (like he did when he sacked Steve Clarke) and appoint a 'big', yet curiously shite name like Guus Hiddink.

The only thing that would swing it I guess would be an absolutely huge wodge of cash, but I suspect that Abramovich simply isn't arsed about his toy anymore (especially after the CL Final) and won't splash out on someone who wants to spend a shitload on creating his own team (which MOL has certainly done at Villa, to great effect). He'll want a coach who will try to do his best with an existing elderly, overpaid and arrogant squad, just as he expected from Scolari and Grant before him.
He's been linked with similar (and better) jobs before, so I'd be extremely surprised if he takes it - just as I'd be surprised if any of the usual other suspects (Rijkaard, Mancini, erm, Curbishley) touches this increasingly poisoned chalice.
I'd laugh Little Foz off if Benitez went there though.

well its a good move short term, it really does not help us at all long term, but its a new management group and it will put butts in the seats and its a bit of a nice story, hopefully playing DH can extend his career and its not costing us a forture, but better moves need to follow this little bit of momentum.......we have to get younger and smarter in regards to the free agents we pick up.

I am weary of GA's back, but I have always loved him. Mr. Doubles. He also has one of the sweetest swings in baseball.

nothing. I was just thinking about him and I then remembered how much I hate him and I wanted to vent.
Never heard of a more selfish player in my life. I hope he never gets to the HOF. They need to send a message and not elect him.

Big couple of days in the Champion's League - I am rather pooing it about tomorrow (not scoring an away goal will probably haunt us. Again), but tonight I shall be sat in front of the telly waering my favourite Matador hat cheering on Real Madrid

Yay! Manchester United v Liverpool in half an hour. Hopefully I will still be bouncy afterwards, although Greg's comments at the Gutter Twins show in Manchester last year - where he invited us to clap along to the intro of Down the Line Like you were at a Football match – getting your asses kicked by Liverpool - are looming large in the old subconscious
