I know he can be a bit crochety at times (or in Ireland), but when he's on form and in a good mood, Greg Dulli is certainly one of the best.

Tom Waits comes to mind for me. songwriting, definitely charisma...i really like his voice, but i know some would rather saw their ears off than be exposed to it.. and goddam if he isn't a snazzy dresser.

I would have to say Kurt Cobain. He's the not the best overall, but for the stuff I like, he was the best. I also really enjoy the stage presence of Lanny. He just gets up there and sings. No flash, no pizazz, just good.
