They finally confirmed the dates on their myspace. Two shows in Britain and both not too far away from where I live

Yihaa! Mark Lanegan back in Bruges on the lovely Cactus Festival (on the 11th :-P)! This is a really nice (and small) festival where he played with the Soulsavers 2 years ago.

this seems like a great little tour, and the simplicity of it is brilliant. the whole thing is win-win for artist and fan. the fans love these shows and the guys themselves seem to really enjoy them. they can get out and do it anytime with minimal fuss and low overheads, and they have an audience even if there's no new 'product' to sell. this tour seems pretty impromptu. it doesn't seem to have much of a purpose, other than earn a bit of money, play some nice shows and visit some nice places.. and maybe buy some time between delayed projects.................. anyway, i think they should think about a live CD/DVD set, with one of the electric GT shows and one of the acoustic shows together. some nice artwork, a nice little set of liner notes.. it'd definitely sell. why am i not managing these guys? dvd special features = lane-cam and dulli-cam. if they'd filmed the first round of shows, they could sell them at these shows.... sign a few copies, kerching. good business, good times. and you cant say fairer than that.

I changed it from Europe to Worldwide as 'Europe, South America and Australia which covers most major landmasses except Africa and Antarctica (as Greenland is mostly ice rather than rock and therefore doesn't technically count)-wide. Well, wide-ish' wouldn't fit in the little box. Bloody ProBoards.

anyway, i think they should think about a live CD/DVD set, with one of the electric GT shows and one of the acoustic shows together. And it can go on the unreleased pile with all the other ones

Lanegan was always reluctant to tour as far as I know like for example when was the last time he played in New York on his own?? and they are coming to Argentina, carajo! In less than one year everyone from Melvins & Mudhoney visited Buenos Aires. funny fact

There are a interview where Lanegan explain his promise to live up to a new residency in Barcelona in the next years:)

Lanegan was always reluctant to tour as far as I know like for example when was the last time he played in New York on his own?? Hmm...good question. I saw him play there in 1997 when he only did 4 songs, and I don't recall if he's ever played there solo again. Or played solo anywhere on the east coast or mid-US at all. So I finally moved out to the west coast so it would be easier for me to see good shows...and now they are all overseas, and in massive quantities, instead of a few shows every 3 years. Oh well, at least someone's getting to go.

If I remember right, a car accident prevented him from playing the East Coast in 2004-ish on the Bubblegum tour
