yeah not good at all......it all started around the black album......when someone told him he could sing His "singing" is the single component of their new music that I detest the greatest. I almost find it hard to fathom not liking Metallica at all after being such a huge fan in the 80s before the Black Album. Garage Days Re-revisited is so cool and raw. I remember Lars on MTV before the Black album came out playing pool on some Metallica "event" saying "We're just trying to win our creditability back." to the camera and actually meaning it. At that point I knew they were not about the music like that had basically been up to that point and everything they have put out since has been a tribute to that or trying to recapture that lightning in a bottle. They totally believe the hype and maybe they should just hang it up and do some other things. Being a multi Millionaire must have it's advantages even if it was gains gotten on the totally crappy music which was built on the great music in the 80s.

band in a bubble, thats going to be m0ng0's reality television show....find a kick ass band, give them a monthly allowance, let them live like dogs for 10 years travelling in shitty busses, living off the shitty catering of the clubs they play and just let them be normal guys....protect them from the media and all the outside bullshit that ruins bands......just let them play shows and make albums and give them a life just good enough to keep it all going and keep them hungry, then after 10 years split up all the money

Going drummerless or w/a new and less than fully acquainted drummer (trial by fire)? we're doing a couple of acoustic things drummerless - and then using a drummer who has had 1hr practice with us for the rest. none of my songs are straightahead 4/4 rock beats so it's not something that can easily be blagged. got some difficult 3/4s and a weird one that is.. i dont even know.. something like a fast 3/4 that moves into 4/4 on triplets feel for the chorus (im not sure, it's tough to work out).. on the easy side, we're doing N*E*R*D*'s She Wants To Move and segueing it into Somethin' Hot by The 'Whigs... they're sounding pretty good but he doesn't quite know when the changes are. it should be pretty embarrassing (for me, stood at the front trying to sing and play while chaos unfolds behind me).

id forgotten about this... i probably blocked it out as a self-preservation tactic. it was quite fun, actually. we did some great acoustic stuff.. then, as predicted, chaos broke out when we tried the unrehearsed drummer.. he did his best though, bless him. the final song (She Wants To Move / Somethin' Hot) was absolutely ace with drums though. ..and our proper drummer has now returned.
