Just recieved the Leeds/Melbourne CDs (from the official site). Sounding great, as expected! I was surprised that the Leeds CD is the "Australian" one - or is this what they´ve been selling all the time? From earlier in this thread I got the impression it was rare... So, now I´m missing Julia Dream (especially!) and Hanging Tree It's always been the Australian version through the webstore, as far as I know. It turns out that (despite the initial clamour for the Oz version) the Australian one is the only 'proper' version (and the one that could be re-pressed). The original version was, err, 'discontinued' due to some copyright/royalties issues, I believe... :-)

Who's up for a movement? Just in case Mark and his people are in any doubt about the interest in seeing a proper release of the Voxhall cd, there is that Facebook page, and they have "walls" where you can post messages .....

A movement or spam?
Mark's had a history of being pretty testy as to people's behaviors on his social networking sites....

Spam is junk mail/posts - "Check out my band, here's the link yadda yadda" etc. Respectful requests aren't spam. If I were him, I'd never actually check that page myself, anyway, I'd have a lackey keep an eye on it, just like it's a lackey (sorry, web person, I don't mean to offend you) that updates it with links to download BJL, concert dates, etc. I'm not proposing anyone go on there and beg to have his love child or offer up their girlfriends for his pleasure! (I wonder if the guys in KISS ever contemplated the latent homoeroticism in those offers? - I digress.) I'm only proposing showing appreciation, and asking when/if (NOT demanding, people, no DEMANDING people! That not nice! We nice fans, right?) we might be able to legally acquire this gem. [And yes, even when I speak you're likely to get a lot of () in my sentences. It's not just something annoying I do when I write. ;D]

Last time I talked to Lanegan, after London's concert, I asked him if he uses to read his messages on myspace, facebook. He: "No way. I stay away from all this stuff!" ;D

I think I'm in, I just need not to forget when I get home. Isn't there a facebook page for the Caucus as well?

Another Voxhall cd is up on Ebay. 7 days to go, so far it's only at $40. It's sickening, but I can't stop watching.

that's truly mad: already 100 $ for this CD. Is it the signature or is the CD that much wanted and asked for?
I should've bought 10 copies when I had the opportunity...

People keep buying the Union Chapel and Melbourne cd's, signed, for $50-$60, I assume the signature plays into those sales - you'd think any fan mad enough to pay that much would be fan enough (crazed enough) to check things out like the official website and know they can be bought for $20. I think with the Voxhall cd, it's both the signature and the unavailability. It is madness. I wish I could afford madness like that, but I still wouldn't pay that much for that cd.

shipping cost needs to be considered too. the official site was charging $20 for the cd but i think reports were in some parts of the world was shipping at over $30. so if someone got the cd for $100, shipping somewhere at around $10, it really doesn't seem that bad considering there's a pretty good chance these will remain limited. plus the autograph.
what i just typed sounds pretty good. i'll have to run it past the wife and see if she's okay with me bidding on this cd.

I bought the Night Porter show plus a new copy of Field Songs (mine was left in the car in the sun) yesterday for a total of $30. Postage to Australia cost me an additional $33; more than the actual discs... Happy to pay becuase I really want the live show, but it's a little steep. Maybe it comes in gold wrapping

My copy has Julia Dream and Hanging Tree on it. Don't know if this helps. Out of both Melbourne shows i would have preferred the Corner Hotel show to have been released instead of the Espy as I think it was the better show. Either way it's always a privilege to have an official recording of the show you attended.

Finished at $222.50. Insanity. message to whoever bought it: i have in my possession what I have been told by subpop is a one of a kind vinyl misprint featuring mark lanegan! It is a white vinyl of Twilight Singers Dynamite Steps. Side 1 has Be Invited featuring Mark Lanegan. Side 2 is Mogwai instead of Twilight Singers. The records were released on the same day and pressed at the same time, resulting in this rare one of a kind piece of memorabilia. This is a true one of a kind! Make me an offer!

That's fucking amazing. I hope it's Mark selling them off one by one, but he should be proud of himself regardless. That's pretty steep for something that's, what, a year old? They should secretly press more and sell those off sneakily via ebay.

"Autograph may not match the one pictured as it's a picture of my personal copy"
I'll take a look at my signed CD booklet from Saturnalia and see how it compares.
