The venue wasn't ready for a sold out grand opening show, and the crowd was a bit terrible. Sound was good from where I was, but so many obnoxious people talking or cheering inappropriately.I think with the size of the venue people forgot it was supposed to be more intimate a show than a rock concert. And while everyone was drinking age (with the exception of the vomiting child), we all got corralled into a tiny fenced-in drinking area despite all floor seats being 21+. Also, a very questionable area. But great show, glad I made it. It was great meeting everyone that I had the chance to. See you again in...six, seven years?

Great show last night, but yeah the crown was kinda crappy. The dude next to me was singing along at the top of his lungs and half way through No Easy Action he leans over to me and screams 'Man I wish he had a chick here doing that part' and the processes to hum the female part.
Anyone know what was up with the poster? There was a Brad Klausen print that was not being sold by the time I left.
It was cool hanging with everyone I had a chance to meet. When Lanegan brings the party to the east coast, we'll have to do it again.

Could you say more on Brad Klausen print? It doesn't seems to exist... I was talking to Lanegan's guitarist Jeff in Portland and he told me there was a poster with some kind of grim reaper design on it. I was planted at the merch table waiting for it. I asked Sean Wheeler, who is apparently Lanegan's manager, and he said there was a poster but they didn't have it. When the show was over I saw a venue employee walking around with a stack of 10 or 20 posters. I asked him if they were available for sale and he said no, but refused to elaborate. He did tell me it was Brad Klausen poster. Right before I split I saw the same guy hanging by the signing table showing someone the poster. It was definitely Brad Klausen design. Nothing on his website or gigposters.com the last time I checked.

wow! what a bizarre, crazy, chaotic and hilarious 2 days that was! The show last night was overall pretty good considering the venue was completely ill equipped to deal with a concert, they had no clue what they were doing from the sound, lights, merch vendors, alcohol, security to the cattle call afterwards. I am sure they will figure it out but last night was a bit of a clusterf*ck for sure.
Mark and Jeff did a great job, the opening band was pretty damn cool also, just as big of a highlight for me was meeting so many cool boardies! Dennis and Kim you guys were so much fun to hang out with I had such a good time, thanks for putting up with me ;D Aaron I hope you are not riding all the way back to Vancouver with a wet ass! Pleasure to meet you! Nice to meet Chris and his buddy, Grump and Granger twas a pleasure to meet you both and thanks Granger for doing what you did thats going to be a great day when that finally happens still cant wait for that! Olga and Steve and spouses was great to see you again if ever so briefly last night take care and safe travels I will forward pics when I get a chance. A great couple of days all in the name of "rich and raspy rock baritone"
Cheers to all !
Cant wait for the next tour !

Also, a very questionable area. It was great meeting everyone that I had the chance to. See you again in...six, seven years? Yeah, I may not have mentioned that .... I suppose one day, long ago, that was a nice neighborhood. I actually didn't see as many Ave Rats trolling around as I'd expected. Next time I'll have to be more social so I can properly meet people, I did have a nice chat with Miracle and um, er, I forgot his screen name, but I think his real name is John? Sorry, I was a little more focused on the show ... I enjoyed the show tremendously, Mark was in fantaastic form, Jeff was amazing, Sean and Zander were quite good, but I do wonder what the proper ettiquette is when one is a big lady, and a bigger lady sits down next to one, and the seats are not made for big people - can I just scream in her ear, "What are you thinking, dipshit! Trade seats with one of your skinny friends." or should I be more polite? Yeah, I wish they'd left the old seats in, they were much comfier (better padded as well as roomier).

For someone who has always been a lurker on the forum, it was a real bonus meeting up with everyone. Thanks again for letting me bum menthols from you in Portland. When my better half and I rolled up on Kim and Dennis waiting outside before the show, I introduced myself to everyone sitting/standing next to them. I was a little red in the face when Kim told me they weren't from the forum, but I'm pretty sure some of them actually were, so it was cool to meet you too. If you were one of those people, let me know so I feel like less of a dumbass. And if anyone hears anything about the poster, please let me know. I have an addiction to feed.

I took a picture of the grim reaper poster. I saw them walk it in, it was a small stack, and i didnt put 2&2 together.. It was only given to certain people.
I ALSO TOOK VIDEO OF Lanegan INTERVIEW SNIPPETS over at the EMP nirvana exhibit.
i did a pretty good job documenting what i was aware of and will post pics, commentary, all of that later.
I didnt enjoy the Neptune show as much as the rest. the sound was terrible in my section, and the crowd wasnt very considerate.
It was so great to meet so many of you! I hope to stay in touch.
Big thanks to Mongo and Barriers for all the help. Sepulqotsa [!] that ten year old comment was GOLD.

What a great time and great shows! Loved how the Onewhiskey crew assembled from all over the States and Canada. Mark sounds fantastic, Jeff Fielder was great and Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss did an awesome job as well. Even though the staff/bar arrangements at the Neptune and some in the crowd left a lot to be desired, still had an amazing time. Sound in the balcony was quite good, and got to speak to Mark afterwards and had my Voxhall cd signed.
It was a pleasure meeting John, Kim, Dennis, and everyone else. And to my fellow Queens, ny residents, I accidently deleted your number when I was about to dial it, this was right after our cab pulled away!
Hope to do this again soon.

Dear everyone,
I sustained an injury Sunday at work, and have been back and forth to the hospital these past few days since i got back. I have a Ct scan for Friday and some more follow up tomorrow.
Pictures will get posted along with the EMP clips within this week, no later than Saturday. This stuff will be worth the wait. I've got flyers, stubs, aaa passes, etc. I'm more than likely going to put everything in a separate thread.
Good to meet y'all and hear everyones take on the shows!
