It seems it's only for Seattle, Portland, Vancouver and San Francisco that Mark will be supporting Nick Cave.

I'm thinking (and hoping) more and more that Mark will be touring this summer in support of a new solo album...

Well he is reported to be working on a new Mark Lanegan Band album but the tour support just says Mark Lanegan as opposed to Mark Lanegan Band as it is listed for the European tour dates. Lets face it though it is never a long wait for a new Mark Lanegan album in some description

I'm torn about going to this. It's 93 dollars for good seats, in a seated theatre and I just saw the Bad Seeds last April and it was 80 dollars. I just can't imagine they will play a different setlist than last year with no new album out. Seeing Mark Lanegan again would be cool, but I'd rather he do a solo show of his own.

And yet a little frustrating given that one show is sold out and the other only has tickets left for crap seats in the balcony. Let the hard work begin....

Saw Nick Cave last year, loved it, when tickets for this Seattle show went on sale I didn't have the money, now it's just seats way in the back of the balcony and going would mean delaying my trip out to visit my friends for the holiday (and my birthday) and having to travel with all of the other bastards fleeing the city ..... if they share the stage I might almost cry for having to miss this, but it just isn't going to happen.

Has anyone spotted confirmation of him supporting on the second night in SF also? Neither the Warfield's site not Cave's have him listed on the 8th.

That's ok grumpella. There will be other shows. Better shows. MLBand as main act shows. Shows that cost less. Yet give more.

I'll probably head up to seattle just to hang around town with friends and try my luck. Same goes for SF. Theres a ticket on stubhub for less than a hundred, but i might just wait to see if the box office releases any on the day of the show. Good luck everyone

And yet more, non-super expensive VIp package GA tickets released for Cave in Seattle. I am now going to both Seattle and Porltand shows, plus the Lanegan solo show. It will be a very good long birthday weekend.

I forgot about this thread! I will definitely edit my post later on this weekend to add photos/scans from the shows I attended.
SF>Seattle.
I felt marks vocals were waaaaaay too low in the mix at the Paramount. But SF was perfect. SO, so perfect. There was even a different emphasis on certain songs, like On Jesus Program.

The visuals are so awesome, such a pity the sound doesn't match up to it!

I thought Mark sounded fantastic at the Paramount. I was in the balcony though so maybe that had something to do with it.

I was right upfront, so perhaps that DID have something to do with it, though the sound was crystal clear at The Warfield and Showbox. Sometimes that'll happen. I still have to post pictures to this thread, sorry I've been lagging!
