Just a heads up for anyone thinking of going to the London event: it's NOT the full film, just clips. Also, it sounds like Alain will be playing with the band, but Jesse and Henry won't be performing; they will be taking part in the Q&A.

I have a feeling that with the passing of Lemmy and the events that occurred in Paris, that momentum slowed down considerably for this project. Jesse was a big part of the project, Lemmy was a big part but if I'm right, the release date was right around the Paris incident and Lemmy's passing.
Sounds like really shitty luck when they had so many great people behind it. No evidence to support it, but that sounds logical.

I'm fairly certain it had some recent festival screenings. I just think the release/distribution has been managed poorly. Look at all the confusion that surrounded the 'fan event' in London late last year. It's as if they've got amateurs in charge of the actual promotion of the film.

All these sad events didn't help, but there were indeed some festival dates this summer (in France it was at the Hellfest), I think at one point there will be a DVD release.

All these sad events didn't help, but there were indeed some festival dates this summer (in France it was at the Hellfest), I think at one point there will be a DVD release. This is what appears on their Facebook page: Dearest disciples of Gutterdämmerung, the wait to have your faces melted by pure incendiary rock and roll cinema is almost over but we must ask for your patience a little while longer. Due to unforeseen issues with the complex multi-media Gutterdämmerung production we have to postpone our shows outside of London. We’re incredibly sorry that we have to do this to our loyal fans but stay the course and we promise that Gutterdämmerung will be in your town in the future and will be worth every single second of the wait. Your eyes and ears will not know what has hit them. For all those with tickets for these shows we would like to invite you to come and have your minds blown at our RE-SCHEDULED BRIXTON ACADEMY SHOW ON THE 11TH OF FEBRUARY. If you can’t make the show, please contact the outlet where you purchased your tickets and we promise we will be back. We know 2016 has sucked so far and from the pit of hell we offer our apologies but we will be back, bigger and badder with loudest silent film on the planet Gutterdämmerung! RIP Lemmy, Bowie, Prince and a big middle finger from all of us to Brexit. Tickets for the re-scheduled Brixton Academy show are on sale Monday 10:00 AM UK

The build up for this seems to have completely petered out. I'm just hoping for a DVD release, it looks interesting and from friends who went to hellfest this year I heard fairly positive things.

Seems gigs in Germany and France will be announced soon. And I won't open a topic for this as many of you don't like him a lot but there's a Duke Garwood date in Paris on February.

There's a whole Duke tour in Feb, don't think I've ever seen him headlining so could be fun.

Never been to the deaf institute, some people might even say that's the best place to hear him(just thought I'd get that in before the haters did couldn't resist) me thinks it'll be worth a bash and at £13.50....nobrainer

I saw Josh T Pearson at the Deaf Institute, I agree it'll be a good place to see Duke too. Lovely wallpaper also.

There's a belgian date now !
Edit : and a French one too, will probably be at this one, even if 50 euros is a bit expensive considering we don't even know who will be playing.

Sorry but as I tried to get more information I came across a statement on Facebook about the coming tour:
"Die GUTTERDÄMMERUNG-Tournee – und damit auch der geplante Termin in München am 28. Januar in der Theaterfabrik – werden aus produktionstechnischen Gründen abgesagt.
Die Produzenten der Show arbeiten derzeit an einem neuen Konzept und Bühnendesign. GUTTERDÄMMERUNG soll dann im Herbst 2017 auch endlich nach Deutschland kommen."
Which means the complete tour is cancelled due to some production reasons. But producers should be working on a new concept so Gutterdaemmerung will finally come to Germany in Autumn of 2017...
But Vienna seems to be happening???

The Facebook page says German and Austrian dates are moved to other venues. Doesn't speak about the other dates.
Edit : and now that I already have my ticket, there's a quest in Paris ^^

I hesitate to mention it, as it really sounds not my thing, anyway for those interested, tickets are now being advertised for the Palladium in April. Enjoy.

If it was clearly not worth 50 euros, the French gig last month was very cool, not just a movie, a real concert, and seeing Mark and all those big musicians on big screen was really cool. I recommend it for those who haven't seen it yet.

This means that all the musicians on screen will just be acting their parts. No vocals, no dialogue and the only music will be what's performed live.

Does Mark sing in it or does he just appear as an actor? I think that I have not totally understand the concept behind this movie so far Sorry, just saw your question, I'm not coming here often these days as you can see. No Mark singing, that's just a show of covers with a live band comprising some of Iggy Pop's musicians. The setlist changes sometimes I think, but no Mark songs as far as I know. There are some dialogues in the film, but very few. Mark doesn't appear much, but there is a damn good casting, and a very good setlist too, so it was fun.
