Apr 26 Academy Dublin, Ireland Apr 27 Academy Dublin, Ireland Is this venue a lot smaller than the others on this tour or does Mark just really like Dublin? I remember he played it twice last year also.

No, it's not that small. I would guess it has a capacity of about 500. He's played two dates here on the last few occasions and most of the time, he seems to be either selling out or near capacity.

PS maybe I'm in the minority but I'm also glad to be seeing Duke again![/quote] Boooo to all them Duke hater's. I don't think you're in the minority at all, I've never understood why there's such an explosion of negativity when ever his name is brought up. Especially in a supporting role on tour. Seen him quite a lot over the last 6 year's or so touring with ML. Talked to loads of people of different ages at these gigs and all pretty positive. I just think its so funny how long it is before the 1st anti Duke blah blah blah is posted on the eve of a lanegan tour. But hey its only marmite. Holy Shit Leeds and York

The union chapel isn't near the Albert Hall - I reckon this is a coincidence rather than planned - shame as I would have gone to both CC and ML gigs.
I see Duke is also the support act for ML - nice.

Just got my Union Chapel tickets.
Looking forward to seeing Mark (and Duke....)once more at this venue. I love the sound and ambience there (going to see Dulli there first next week).

I really hope they record and release a Union Chapel show again. To this day, the Night Porter is the best Mark bootleg I have.

I wasn't saying the venues were close to each other. Someone asked earlier in the thread if CC and Mark's gigs clashed (ie same cities, same nights). Union Chapel and Royal Albert Hall are both in the same city (London). So dates clash in Bristol, Birmingham and London. Planned or coincidence it doesn't really matter does it! I was a bit disappointed when I couldn't get tickets for CC when they originally went on sale but not so disappointed now Tickets in the bag for Leeds and London - two great venues .. can't wait

Tickets purchased for Glasgow.
Looking forward to Mark plus Duke. Strange that venue is advertising as unreserved seating as they normally do standing, and have done for previous ML shows I've seen there.
I'm guessing this could be a more stripped back type of gig (acoustic?) without the full Mark Lanegan Band treatment of synths etc.

Got my tickets for Leeds, row c I would have preferred seats on the circle but looks like these weren't for sale for some reason. Holy Shit Leeds and York I'm not a Duke hater by any means, it's just I've seen Duke open for Mark just about every time I've seen Mark since 2009 so I'd just like something different is all. Sean and Zander were such a refreshing change last year IMO.

jho : Where did you get your ticket for Hamburg? To me in Germany it seems the sale of tickets hasn't started yet. Maybe that's why you paid so much? Offical start of sale is Feb 8th.

Well, the sale seems to be split between the two big companies: ticketmaster and eventim. tm sells them since yesterday, eventim starting monday. I bought it in a local store, which is associated with both companies. Been to three other sales points before, but they were only eventim-associated and couldn't sell me one. Been to the one on the top floor of Saturn Mönckebergstraße

My favourite as well, as I was sat right at the front Your bias is showing, as Voxhall is clearly the best... The best and the most interesting. Oddly, although I was second or third row at the Union Chapel and loved it, I prefer the Leeds recording. Looking forward to Union Chapel again, might go to Brighton also.

I'm hoping for a Zürich one as that show was pretty special (Morning Glory Wine got a rare outing), or maybe the tiny Hebden Bridge one that was certainly filmed, featuring my favourite shout of "shut up or f**k off!" from one side of the room to the other (distance: about 25 feet)

The dates don't clash in Bristol, Mark is playing St George's on Friday 29th and CC is at Colston Hall on Saturday 30th.
No conspiracy theories necessary!
Any rumours on new bootlegs more recent than the Cleveland show? Still hoping for a release of Amsterdam with the orchestra...

Paris for me Would love to go to the Union Chapel again (3rd row for me in 2010 ) but I will be on holiday. I like Duke, but it would be cool to have someone different for sure.

"Ugh" a thousand times is my reaction to the predictable Garwood tag along.
I'm going to do the Mark/CC Bristol weekend, but that might be my only ML show this tour due to the Cornell clashes. Not having to suffer through much Garwood makes this easier to decide and accept.

Duke again? Really? Oh man, that's sooo boring. No offense, his music is pretty ok to me. But why always him? I saw Lanegan solo 7 times since May 2010 and Duke was opening 6 times. I really would appreciate a change. Zander & Schloss seemed to be cool, looking at their videos. But anything/anyone else would do just fine. Even better would be no opener at all but Lanegan playing half an hour more - but that's probably not gonna happen
