What is the significance of the number & date under his signature? Don't think I've ever seen him do that? The venue is called 013. Added at the post-gig signing. Those setlists aren't mine by the way, I just stalk people who have them until they let me take a picture :-).

So Alice in Chains are playing Seattle the same night as Lanegan. Last time I saw Sean I told him they should tour together, not the same city the same night...

Here's the setlists from Tilburg yesterday (the pinkish one) and Utrecht today (the blue one). Seems like Train was a last minute addition yesterday. Both great shows, nice to hear "I'll take care of you" played live. Utrecht had better sound, but the audience in Tilburg was a lot more responsive. Was Tilburg standing? I was there last weekend, and it was parttly standing

Looks like sales have been slow up here in the north, concerts in Oslo (tonight) and Malmø (Monday) have both been moved to smaler arenas

How large were the venues in Oslo, Malmo and Lille? The one he's playing in Switzerland next Saturday is 400 and they said they never had a concert selling out so fast before.

Any Lyenn fans here? I'm trying to find a song he played when he opened for Mark (the concert in Paris, but I suppose the setlist is more or less the same). It had a lot of screaming in the outro. Thanks again mimie for reserving a seat for me, it was lovely meeting you

I think the Lyenn song is Seeds and Semen, but the studio version is different from the live one.

Yes! Where did he post that? I'm seeing Mark play in New York, is that one of the dates Sean is opening?

My review of the Alhambra in Paris (for a french version, go here, it will be posted later but I don't know how as I'm not the one who's in charge ^^) Ninth Lanegan gig for me this evening, third time at the Alhambra after the Imitations concert of 2013 and the full band last year. Even if I didn’t arrive very early, I still managed to catch two good seats in the second row, for me and Dveri that I met for the first time and who is a very nice girl. It was strange for me to see the Alhambra all seated, never saw that before. I don’t particularly like seated gigs, but for this cozy set, it is an appropriate setup. Lyenn and Duke Garwood are still opening, I liked them both (with a preference for the original Lyenn and his cries at the end) even if a bit of variety would be cool too for the next ones. But as both of them play with Mark tonight, it seems logical. Their playing tonight however will be very discreet, Jeff Fielder on the electric guitar doing the main job. It is a bit strange to have an electric guitar without drums in my opinion, and sometimes the sound of it was too loud, but Jeff is such a fantastic player that it was not such a problem afterall. Mark was in great form, vocally and physically, never sat if I remember well. I was really happy with the opening on One Way Street, which is one of my favorites. Being relatively rock oriented in my musical tastes, I must admit that a setlist oriented towards Bubblegum and Blues Funeral would have worked better with me, but tonight’s set (which still includes some « imitations » and of course Duke’s collaborations as he is here) was still consistent. However, I probably did too much Lanegan gigs and would appreciate a bit of variety in the set, because except the Napalm Beach cover (a band I didn’t know before), it was all classic stuff. Nevermind, between Mark’s voice and Jeff’s guitar, still a wonderful concert with a fantastic final on Halo of Ashes. After the gig, I found the courage to go seeing Mark once again and proudly said to him that it was my ninth gig of him tonight. He answered « wow that’s dedication », with I think a bit of mocking in his voice (but I totally understand this ) as he signed my ticket and my « Le Chat Noir » mini poster. I didn’t dare to ask for a photo, but Dveri immortalized the moment for me, thank you so much ;-) Some people were asking him to sign all the QOTSA discography on vinyl, and he agreed to sign everything that was presented to him, such a nice man. I hope I would be more talkative with him next time, but I’m so shy I don’t really think so. Nevermind, the concert is all that counts, right ? And Mark never disappoints me on stage, he’s a legend, and an accessible one, which is rare.

Really enjoyed the New York gig. After seeing him in Leeds earlier in the tour with Lyenn and Duke, I was kinda surprised when only Mark and Jeff walked out on the stage, but made a totally different show from what I saw in Leeds. Sean Wheeler was as entertaining as ever and really enjoyed him as well however I didn't think his songs were as good as the songs he did with zander schloss. But it's still early days of his new solo act with Billy Pitman, think he said it was their fourth gig, I'd certainly see him again and buy his album if he puts one out, truly a desert legend!

And here's the setlist from yesterdays Nijmegen show, I expect tonight in Amsterdam will be mostly the same. One of the most rocking Mark shows I've seen in a while. Attachments:

Yeah, it was exactly that. Good show! Full band, consisting of all the usual suspects these days (Jeff Fielder on guitar, Aldo Struyf on keyboards, JP de Gheest on drums, Lyenn on bass).

Was there any sign of new CDs/vinyl? Nope. I was at Leuven last night and if anything, he's been running low on merch at this point. Just a couple of old bootlegs on CD and the one Dublin show on vinyl.
