We got 1 hour and 10 minutes tonight including a one song encore. Mark to be in extreme pain every time he moved from the mic stand with the limp. Not much new merch tonight just guitar picks and gym bags! I noticed that at Edinburgh. He walked to the merchandise stand afterwards with a walking stick. I hope he takes some time off the road to get treatment be it surgery or rest. His health is the most important thing here.

Yes I agree 100% frankblack. He's been limping for almost the whole tour I cant imagine how difficult it must be for him to go out and give a show every night in that kind of pain Hoping for a good rest of tour and a nice restful recovery period for him. Touring/recording can wait - as you said his health is the most important thing

Saw Mark in Leeds on Friday night. I've seen him on every tour since 2004 and think the current show may be his best yet. Mark's on top form, the band are great and Shelley provides excellent back-up (although, weirdly, she didn't sing on Torn Red Heart (Jeff did), even though she does on the album...).
The setlist was packed full of great songs; I think Meth Blues was my stand-out track of the night.
Mistakenly assumed Duke would be on just before Mark, so arrived later and realised he'd already finished; but we saw Joe Cardamone - 'interesting' is the word I'd use. Loud and synthy, quite soundtrack-y, and with very 'arty' backing videos. Not sure the crowd really 'got' him....
Good as the show was, the evening was slightly marred by the fact that there was no heating in the venue (which is a refurbished church, very beautiful and atmospheric) - so with temperatures below zero outside, we were shivering until the collective body heat of the crowd kicked in!

I'm at Koko, London. What the fuck am I listening to?
I would be delighted to have Duke Garwood's aimless noodlings and goodness knows I've slagged him off often enough.

Joe Cardamone oh right. This is awful. I'm actually sorry I missed Duke

I was there yesterday too and concur.
I would have been happy with just a solid hour of Duke.

How is it possible for Lanegan to still sing so well when his speaking voice sounded as if he had a terrible sore throat and cold?
No walking stick but he did look frail.

It's amazing how good he sings, compared to his voice while saying thanks or something else.
