I wonder whether his Twitter page has been hacked or something? I keep receiving email notifications of it tweeting about Mark's death.
Still not over his passing, by the way. The hole he's left in my soul will never be full again.

I signed up more than ten years ago yet I haven't been around much. Knowing that this forum exists, though, still comforts me, as Mark's music forever will. Love to you all.

I'm buying this ASAP. After getting sort of tired of his electronic phase I neglected Straight Songs of Sorrow and now I find about this. Time to catch up.

I was wondering when he'd think of writing poetry proper. How many of you would recommend buying the book? I kinda like the three poems presented on that page.

Its a great tune, one of his most poignant and straightforward lyrically, I feel. I'm also loving the production compared to that of Somebody's Knocking and Gargoyle. His vocals are front and center in the mix (instead buried and low) and the music/tone has some punch (similar to Blues Funeral, which I felt was outstandingly produced and mixed). My hopes are high indeed. Couldn't agree more. It feels almost like an extended version of Phantasmagoria Blues, which is marvelous in my book. The lyrics mix brutal honesty with poetry, I've always enjoyed that. I also wasn't expecting him to sing "all your religions are a lie" when biblical references and a certain language have become such a part of his style. I'm very pleased with this song, I'd call it a long, electronic blues rant. Gonna order the record ASAP.

I've listened to the record some three times and I must say that I'm not completely blown away by it. I get the feeling it might be a grower, though, so I'll press on. My favorites so far are Paper Hat, Gazing From The Shore, Night Flight To Kabul and War Horse.

Just listened to Stitch It Up, it's available both on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHBzdzccqho) and on Spotify. Seems cut from the same cloth as Emperor, this is definitely a harsher song, though. I think it's a really cool and entertaining song, I'm definitely pumped for the new record. Do we have any news about Somebody's Knocking?

Stich It Up is out on Spotify etc. But damn, that's one ugly cover art. Who chooses this stuff? Can't find it on Spotify

I don't know how many of you like this band but I'm dismayed. I always loved the punkish, scrappy spin Prodigy put on electronica and Keith's snarling vocals. RIP.

Per that interview: He’s just finished recording its follow-up, Somebody’s Knocking, due for release in 2019. A double album recorded in 11 days, it sees Lanegan continuing to experiment with the electronic elements that have crept into his brooding, bluesy solo work since 2012’s Blues Funeral. Pumped!

No lyrics joined to the cd. Too bad... Too bad indeed. I'd hoped they'd include them. How's the artwork?

Can't wait! I wonder what sort of direction the new record will move in. I've enjoyed Mark's foray into electronica, Gargoyle is especially beautiful but I believe he could branch out into other genres with ease and finesse. Fingers crossed!

I'm out the other end of it now and similar circumstances with friends and family. I learned one thing you can only rely on yourself and I don't mean that in a bitter kind of way. You will become more self reliant and learn to start putting yourself and what you want first and that's how you change I think. People always mention seeking help from others and ventilating how you feel so it's frustrating when you try to and people don't listen, the first time I met a close friend he spent the whole time talking about how my crisis affected him. I learned hard and fast that people are never what you hope them to be but that's ok. You can get more comfortable with yourself and your limitations and for next that was a major part of getting through. I'm always here for a vent if you want it's easier to talk to a stranger Somehow I managed to miss this post. Wow. I must say agree with pretty much everything you wrote. Thanks a lot! And yes, I agree, talking to strangers can often be easier and less of a hassle. Right now, I'm doing somewhat better, though mood goes up, mood goes down. Again, thanks!

Listening to it on Spotify right now. I'm only thirty or so seconds in on Feast to Famine and I'm already loving the vibe. The cover art looks stunning as well. Hope they'll include a lyric sheet in the CD edition, I'm definitely planning on buying this.

Honestly been there for the past three years between in laws fucking us over massively, destroyed friendships, living in serious poverty in slum like accommodation, forever altered family circumstances it's been hell. without sounding patronising something's do change with time, everything doesn't get better, how you feel about yourself/circumstances may never be the same and that you can be a drastically altered person coming out the other end but you can come out of it. I really want to believe. Thanks a lot for your words, it really means something to me. None of my friends nor my relatives are really interested in what I'm going through, so this is especially touching. I wish you all the best with your personal circumstances.
