An update on this release.
I ordered my book through Rough Trade, the release date kept on getting pushed back, the last I heard it was to be shipped 28 October.
I logged into my account last night and it said it hadn't been shipped.
No less than 30 minutes later Rough Trade sent me an email saying they had to cancel my order:
"Due to an unexpected stock shortage from our supplier, we have been cut back on our order with them and are unable to supply this item for your order. We can confirm that you have not been charged for the item, very sorry for any inconvenience caused by this shortage".
Don't know why I was one of the unlucky ones to have their order cancelled, perhaps they gave priority to residents in Europe instead of sending mine to Australia. Either way I'm pretty disappointed as I don't think I will be able to get my hands on this book now without someone over charging me.
Anyone else get snubbed?

The 12 or so songs of Gunfighting music recorded with Ben Shephard from around 2005 is the unreleased music I want to hear. and, The album with Duff McKagan. Hi Wellwater, something more about the album with DMcK? Never heard nothing about it I have a very vague recollection of some talk on here back in the Bubblegum days about Mark making music with Duff. Any sort of release is just more wishful thinking on my behalf, sorry. The Ben Shephard Gunfighting music was spoken about more on here during the 2000's but I can't remember if it originated from an interview with Mark/Ben or where the notion came from.

Goodbye great man, thank you for everything. You have helped so many get through troubled times and brought us great joy along the way too.
Be in peace.

Unfortunately that soundcloud link is unavailable in Australia, however the studio version can be found here and converted to mp3 using mp3skull.org/ or something similar.

Any word on a track listing? Five of the six tracks from the 2012 EP are on the new album, along with five freshly recorded songs. One of the new tracks is the Everley Brothers - Christmas Eve Can Kill You and, A Lanegan original titled - A Christmas Song.

Quick question. I ordered the signed book from Rough Trade and it was apparently posted one month ago today, 29 April. I know international post is affected at this time however has anyone else who ordered from Rough Trade and had the book sent outside of Europe, received their copy, and if so, when? Cheers Dismiss the above, 3hrs later the book arrived.

It's, I guess, the very start of the book narrated by M. Lanegan. Just an excerpt.
Captivating... thanks for sharing.

2020 is cancelled, things aren't getting better until a vaccine becomes available.
The States in particular look set for a world of pain. Stay safe everyone.

The best thing that I got out of it was all of these new songs. I started writing these songs as soon as I was done with the book, and this collection of songs sort of have a depth to them that a lot of my music hasn’t had because that’s not the way I usually write. So the payoff was these songs, because I think the record that I’m finishing now is one of the better ones I’ve made.

Thanks for the above, the scraps at midnight era was my introduction to Mark so that album is extra special to me.
Always thought the lyrics were 'from the dive down to the well' however 'the dime' makes more sense I guess, probably didn't think dime was the lyric as it's moreso American vernacular.
Cheers.

Received my copy yesterday. It's a really nice accompaniment to I Am The Wolf; very moving insights into selected songs. It's making me look forward to the autobio even more. Hi bmf, Out of curiosity, how many songs does Mark provide insight into? Thanks.

I went to the Melbourne show and I thought it was the best concert of Mark's I've seen since his first tour in Australia back in 2004 and that's taking into account the 15 or so times ive seen him.
He appeared to be in great spirits and played for longer than I've ever seen him play; 1hr 45mins.

It's 11.45pm, at work, tucked up in bed and having the first listen. What job allows you to be tucked up in bed, and why was I unaware of it?
