Okay, so I have never ever ever heard a Slayer song. I'm guessing that's a bad thing?

interview with Slayer from ontrackmagazine.com combined with my super power knowledge from John Safran vs God:
On Track: Well cool. I’ve got one last question for you and I’ve been hoping to ask it for sometime now. A number of years ago I read an article about a television evangelist or some sort of an author that I think does a radio show out of Colorado. His name is Bob Larson and he supposedly talks with a lot of supposed satanic bands about where they’re comin’ from. My understanding is he was invited by you guys to go on tour for a bit. Did that actually take place?
Jeff: That took place.
OT: What was the reasoning behind it, what were you guys trying to do with that?
Jeff: I have no idea. Looking back at that I don’t know why we did that. I think it was more of a kind of joke thing. But he was looking for us trying to corrupt kids into Satan and killing babies or something like that. Then he realized we were just a bunch of kids fuckin’ drinkin’ beer and having a great time.
OT: Right and that’s pretty much what he reported. I remember there was some kid that had called into the radio show and said Slayer were the ultimate Satanists and he was just really hyped about it. And he got pissed off when Bob said, ‘They’re just drunken party animals. They’re not as serious as you think they are.’ And the kid got pissed off at him.
Jeff: Most of the kids that I’ve talked to, they get it. Like me and Kerry have come out and told everybody that we’re atheists, so how can you believe in Satan if you don’t believe in God. But we just like writing about evil things that piss people off, and evil things that turn your blood a little bit; it’s what we’re into.
OT: Well ok. I’m glad you guys are still out there doin it’, I really enjoy the music, I think its fuckin’ great!
Jeff: Yeah, thanks man.

Tom Araya (vocals/bass) is mormon. He still sings advocating Satanism. Dont get me wrong, Im an Irish catholic, and still like Slayer, at least there old stuff (season of the abyss and before) but as a christian, that stuff is not on the acceptable music list. But of course, Im a big fan of Glenn Danzig, and hes not really acceptable for christians either. As for Tom being a mormon, what you say you are, and what you live as are two different things. Being a mormon, catholic, or anything else is more based about what you believe and how you live, then what you say. Kinda like Kerry sayin hes a catholic but being pro abortion, it just doesnt work.
