is Nov. 8th a U.S. release date, or U.K.? I thought new releases were typically out on Tuesdays, but Nov. 8th is a Monday.
or, maybe it's different for singles.

At the mo, it looks like it's a Europe-only release as the only North American sites that carry order details for it are for the UK import.

I saw the video last night. Black and white, slow motion, live footage from the tour, Lanegan singing on stage, footage of the cities, streets, telephone, cigarette, neither Shelley Brien (sorry, m0ngo) nor Michael Barragan (sorry, everybody else) but Brett Nettson. I think.

On TV, not on a website.
I would have been nice enough to post a link otherwise. But it surely will be up on beggars website soon.
It was on Fast Forward (Viva) if some of you are able to watch German tv. Maybe Charlotte, the host, will play it again soon; Sideways in Reverse was often shown on her show.

actually the place was GREAT !!! It was a brand new lounge, or brand new "music venue" it only holds around 300 people and the sound was great. But yes the stage was small and it was in the basement so the ceiling was a little low, but they were so close you could almost reach out and touch them. Nice and intimate, thats the first pic I have seen and does not seem to do the place justice. But you could watch the entire gig from the bar or from strategically placed couches with coffee tables and nice waitressses that would bring you cocktails

US people - here's something mark said a couple of months ago... so if you want to see him spending more time in the US, you know what to do... on a more serious note - a european record label, and a higher profile in europe make it much more viable to do stuff over here... plus, the US$ has been pathetically weak against the £ recently... another reason to vote. re: 'hit the city' single release - isnt it true that the american singles chart isnt even based on single sales?! it's all on airplay and stuff... that's crazy. that makes no sense to me. you crazy americans and your nonsensical ways! anyway, no one's ever happy. that's the fact of the matter. after the first time i saw mark live (solo) in '98, i had to wait another 3 years for him to come back to europe again... and then another 2 years after that... that's the way it is. i just looked on onewhiskey - the man's done six lots of shows on the west coast in the last 9 years... (including acoustic shows, supporting johnny cash, with greg dulli, van conner, duff mckagan and other guests) and only 4 lots of european dates (5 after this tour)... none of which have had 'special guests' or anything... so quit your whining. europe is a beautiful place. let the man do whatever the fuck he wants. it's his life. fair play to him. plus - european girls... european accents. dig? i think im only gonna catch one show in the UK this time around...

I thought the same thing. Damn! It looks like he's performing, by himself, in someone's backyard shack.
