i have it, but i don't like it. what does that make me? it makes you evil, because everyone has to like the same music as me or they don't get to go to heaven. in pitchfork's defence, they've never said a bad thing about jawbox or burning airlines, which means they are right about something. and, although they seemingly are a bit anal over radiohead, practically every top 100 albums list outside of 'specialist' music magazines rates OK Computer as #1. i suppose they probably would too if it had been released during the timeframe, though.

agreed. i saw what they were trying to do, but The Bends has so much more presence, if Lucky had been on it, then OK Computer wouldn't even have a case. i can also see why the music mags always have it at #1, because it's slightly prententious and slightly safe while still being decent enough to bluff its way into the top 50. it was a list probably created by prematurely bald men in their mid-twenties, like the entire writing staff of the NME, or men who want to be bald and in their mid-twenties, who think their writing style is quirky and occasionally controversial, when it isn't.
