New My Bloody Valentine album due "in two or three days", according to Kevin Shields onstage last night... I know I shouldn't, but I can't help starting to believe it...

Obviously "tonight" when uttered by MBV means "sometime in the next 6 months, or whenever"...

Apparently, this is only going to be up for a limited time - Gibby Haynes' new Third Man single Paul's Not Home... And if you buy the 7" from the label's Rolling Record Store on Feb 14th in Austin, there's a good chance your copy will be pressed on an old Soviet medical X-Ray instead of vinyl...

They're going to print it as a roentgenizdat?!?!?!?!?!?!?? I am INSANELY jealous of anyone who get their hands on one of those!!!

Beck to unveil his cover (oops, "reimagining") of Bowie's Sound & Vision, complete with 160-piece backing ensemble at 5pm EST this evening, whenever that is. 360-degree doings will be taking place on this site that will also be attempting to sell you a car. Preview vid here:

It is!. 360 degree version not up yet, but it's annoying enough in headphones as it is, as the sound gets thrown all over the bloody place It's... interesting. And almost 10 minutes long. Gets really good about 3/4 of the way through by which point it's barely a cover any more anyway, before that it's either a bit odd or (worse) a bit pedestrian. Then again, that's kind of in the spirit of an original single that was almost over by the time Dave started singing in the first place

Their last show here was a free show on Easter monday. It was wild... Was looking forward to a repeat at the same venue. Sigh.

New Primal Scream, featuring Kevin Shields (you should be able to spot his bit). Overall, it's a bit "Bunnymen as done by Roxy Music", or possibly the other way round.

It should be available if you follow this link: search.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZContentLink.woa/wa/link?path=DavidBowie - it's available until whichever date the album gets released in your area. Been looking forward to the John Grant thing for a while, am going to hang on another week though till my double CD arrives as I've already got a huge backlog here to plough through

silence, was it only possible to stream Bowie's new album for a limited time? Either that, or I have lost all technical abilities... Yeah I had no luck finding it yesterday also. I know there's rips of it out there but at this point I'll just wait until it's officially out to listen. From what I've read it's a great album.
