what's with people these days?
There's this other clip (in the same screen) of this cat humping a dog. Don't cats deserve some (I was going to say freaking privacy, but I'll stick to) privacy?!

Back when I was a kitten, we were treated to the sort of Public Information Films that went for the "scare the shit out of them" approach to encouraging young children to not go off with strangers, fly kites into electricity pylons or hang around millponds where Donald Pleasance (for it was he) used to hang around dressed as the Grim Reaper. This is one of two adverts about the dangers of using escalators (the other one is of a rag doll being ripped to shreds in the teethy things at the bottom). I still don't like going on them and avoid them wherever possible. On the plus side, VD is for everybody! And, for no reason other than I like the strange trains of thought that Youtube tends to bugger off on, here's Tina Turner back when she wasn't haggard doing Come Together. And, erm, This, a public educatiomanal film made at the very cusp of the age of enlightenment, or something. Top script as well: "it takes time to break in a relief girl"...

Muppet hunting. I now want a coat made of Cookie Monsters. Danny Boy, as sung by Johnny Cash & Jimmie Rodgers, both seemingly determined to out-Shatner each other.

Enough muppetry for the time being, some of my fave kung-fu clips: Iron Monkey - a young Wong Fei Hung (Chinese Robin Hood-type, possibly the most-filmed character in movie history, played here by an 11-year old girl) beats the shit of of some local tykes. Once Upon a Time in China - an older Wong Fei Hung (Jet Li this time) beats the shit out of someone on several ladders. Drunken Master - another Wong Fei Hung (Jackie Chan this time, going through his Bay City Roller phase) beats off a man with a stick whilst enjoying a tipple. As you do. Ong Bak - Thai martial arting, with Wong Fei Hung nowhere to be seen. No actual fighting in this bit, but plenty of "ooh, how did he do that?" moments. No wires, no CG, just Tony Jaa being rather mad. If he had anything approaching charisma, he could be the next Bruce Lee. 8 Diagram Pole Fighter - A Shaw Brothers classic. Gordon Liu (Pai Mei from Kill Bill Vol 2) shows just how to hit someone with a stick. Good lad. Et finally, Armour of God - No 'fu-age, just Jackie Chan again posing the age-old question: "World's Greatest Stuntman, or World's Silliest Sod?". No wires, no CG, no doubles, this really is Jackie performing the most ridiculously stupid (and therefore most brilliant) stunt I have ever seen. Silly sod.

Ahh, that's brilliant. But then Divine Comedy covers tend to be pretty cool..

If I posted this clip of a baby panda sneezing, it would be an admission that I have just watched Richard & Judy. So I'm not going to. Instead, please feel free to peruse this clip of a whole bunch (a pandemonium*, if you will) of pandas engaged in the sort of listless, half-arsed fighting which is the reason why they're becoming extinct. The two at the end look like they're eating their victim, which seems a bit harsh though. * I actually looked this one up. It really is a pandemonium of pandas. That's just silly.

Sadly, strict quarantine laws prevented Sifl & Olly ever entering the UK... Oh my god, this is chickenbuggeringly awful - Celine "Why the long face?" Dion covering You Shook Me All Night Long, with all the airguitaring finesse of a drunk auntie at a wedding.

Bruce Campbell is a legend. Within lies another of his Old Spice ads, this time cranking out a Duran Duran cover. Ah, sod it. It's a repost, but here is his original and best. Evil Dead fans (the lot of you, I'd hope) should pay particular attention to the fireplace
