Does anybody know if Mark is touring with QOTSA ? The ticket are on sale and wanna know if it's worth to go . Not that I don't like Josh but ... QOTSA without Mark it's not good enough for that price (Just my opinion) Thanks

I keep hearing different things about him touring or not. That being said, a Queens show is definitely worth whatever they're charging in your town. Period.

you should buy the tickets and scalp them if you find out mark isn't going (just my opinion).

I saw them on their last tour and, maybe Josh wasn't at his best that night, but his voice wasn't good at all. Mark and Nick saved the show, without them it would have been an o.k. show.
But yeah I should buy the tickets anyway.

Since Mark had to cancel a lot of his own tour dates, the least he could do is come over here with Queens. That's the way I feel about it. I'm gonna have a fuckin' sexy, amazing time with or without Mark, but of course I'd prefer to see him there.

Seeing as how he isn't 'in the band' anymore, I can't imagine why he'd tour with them at all. He toured with them for a couple years, and stopped to work on his own stuff. He doesn't tour with Twilight Singers, as he's not 'in the band' - he basically tries NOT to tour much at all.
It surprises me when people think he's going to turn up on things he's got no reson to be involved in. If a band he's worked with plays a show in a town he happens to be living in, then I'd think possibly, maybe he'd do a guest spot. Otherwise I wouldn't count on it at all.
Though it's definitely worth seeing Queens anyhow - they played for years without him, they'll be just fine.

Well he contributed more to QOTSA than Twilight Singers anyway.

well now who knows - Moira from Italy just sent me the ad that Independente is using to promote the Feb QOTSA show, and they list Mark as doing vocals.
Probably he'll do all the European shows, but no US ones...
seriously, I have no idea if he's playing with them. I didn't see any reason he would, except in LA, but no one ever tells me anything at all. I have to pick it up on the streets.

He's listed on the Queens german site to play, so i reckon he'll just do this short 'pre release' tour, and then get back to his own stuff! Queens are gonna be short vocally (and spiritually) without Nick, so i think Josh NEEDS Mark to tour with them to do half their songs, both as lead, AND backing singer. And that means we'll be seeing lots of Mark on stage, which is good

On the Twilight Singers site, Greg says:
elsewhere, mark lanegan and i mixed 5 songs for the apocryphal "gutter twins" record over the holiday. it sounds sweet. someday we'll finish it and put it out, but mark's out touring w/QOTSA at the mo
Sounds promising! I really think he'll do the whole spring tour.

put out the fucking gutter twins album man. and tour with dulli. let it be done. dulli struggled with the initial twilight singers line-up and made comments about '3 alpha males' not being a good combination. but with lanegan and dulli you've got two very big and very different characters together... touring could end up being stressful. i hope not, though. i think they've got too much respect for each other for it all to fall apart.
