OK, a sampling of Stephanie's Mark Lanegan showersinging is now up for your voyeuristic pleasure Fair warning: this is about as ghetto as it gets, sung acappella and recorded using Windows Sound Recorder, which only records 60 seconds at a time, with a headphone set plugged into the mic jack. There's hella wrong notes, and my voice, as usual, tends to do whatever it wants to do. But at the very least it's a testament to my love for these songs. And my deep voice And my craziness (imagine a housemate hearing me rock these out)... as if that needed any more proof webpages.charter.net/nobody13/showersongs/Your enthusiasm is obvious. Not many people would record through headphones and in the shower (best acoustics) . My wife was wondering WTF I was listening to. It made me chuckle because it was not the usual stuff coming out of the speakers. I think that she thought that I was more nuts than usual.

Well, I didn't technically record these in the shower, but it's enough to give the idea These are probably only going to be up for a limited time, for obvious reasons...

Well here goes. There are a few lyrical and musical flubs but it is a good enough start. I have a couple more in the works now and maybe I'll be able to get them worked up sometime this week. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Riz2hKp6GrQEnjoy!!! nice-looking guitar, but i cant see it clearly.. what is it?

Alvarez. It was a cheaper one that I purchased when I was in college. It could use a good cleaning and I need some new strings. When I picked it up I realized that it had been a while since I had played and given it some TLC. As far as Stephanies tone I would call it kind of soulful. I was unsure as to how to breech the other subject. I really appreciate this thread. It has given me a creative kick in the arse.

It has given me a creative kick in the arse. the finish on it looks great, and it sounds pretty sweet through your pc microphone.. yeah, im liking this thread too.. i got up this morning and did a bit of recording work on a little ditty ive had on the backburner for years... ive never got it recorded how i wanted. im turning it into a complete beatles rip-off, but havent got the guitar arrangement right yet. i also sat at the keyboard and worked on my keyboard skills....... new chord progressions and melodies are flowing because ive been away from it for so long. wow. i need to get ideas down before i lose them. .....and then i got my girlfriend playing drums and singing with me while i played a few cover versions on guitar. she can play a simple straight beat and put a few variations in.. it's great. so, yeah. this thread has got me out of bed and making noise.

It is an 88 (Mark I). I purchased it for very little cash in college (when all are penniless and needing money) and for some reason I had some. Touching it and hearing the notes of the keyboard not even amplified makes me need to play it. It is the same as the one pictured at the bottom of the page. www.fenderrhodes.com/models/mark1a.phpThe amp and cabinet sound pretty sweet. I sometimes play my guitar through it.

Future blackmail material should only be allowed to be so widely distributed my sentiments exactly. you've got a nice tone... just a bit wayward on your melody lines... It's frustrating, actually, because I have tone, power, and range, but my control and ability to stay on key and follow the melody correctly are shit. When I was in a high school chorus and taking voice lessons, I could sing alto and soprano parts and have this great range and powerful sound, but in order to learn my parts I had to painstakingly play the melody lines on a piano and sing along with each note until I had them memorized. None of it ever "stuck" either. I'm not intuitive or natural with music at all, and I really wish that I was. Doesn't stop me from singin' my heart out in the shower, though
