So, that means you'd like to attend three shows instead of just two. I'm gonna be lucky to even see just one show this fall. Mark seems to have an aversion to playin' in the south (unless, he's dragged along by Josh). Nevertheless, I'll always be a dedicated fan of Lanegan's- no matter how many shows I'm fortunate enough to attend.

Thanks for the advice, MB. My work schedule has changed, making Chicago possible, so I am very grateful indeed.

Don't say that. I'm still hoping for a Toronto date between Detroit & Philly. I've still got my toes crossed

Not sure if I can work Tuesday, make the 5+ hr trip to Chicago for a show on a Tuesday night, watch the show, travel back the same night, get 1/2 hr of sleep and goto work Wednesday.
I don't have any extra daze off and I am PO'd about that. What is a poor boy to do? I guess either take it like a man (go) or quit my complaining.

I don't have any extra daze off and I am PO'd about that. What is a poor boy to do? Go to work. Be happy. Eat a lovey lunch. About an hour after lunch - wham - terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. Better go home early. In fact, better end up calling in the next morning, too, as things still just aren't 'working right'. NO ONE ever questions diarrhea.

In fact, better end up calling in the next morning, too, as things still just aren't 'working right'. NO ONE ever questions diarrhea. Perfect advice! That is *exactly* what you do. I can't understand for the life of me why bosses don't just give people off days that they request. People can just call in sick! Either way, you are down one worker. And diarrhea is one of those "things" that no one questions plus it's serious business. Apparently. Once upon a time I worked in an office with a gastroenterologist and his entire world revolved around diarrhea. "Good morning Fred! Well, good morning to you, do you have any diarrhea today?" "Ooh, Fred I have a headache. Hey, are you having diarrhea too?" The man could not talk about anything else. Anyway...

Post by carlito on Sept 9, 2004 16:51:37 GMT -5

there just aren't that many lanefans to sell that bitch out. maybe in a few weeks though.

if you don't get one, i take no responsibility
get on the website and buy yours. it's easy and you don't have to leave clarita.

carlito don't get mad. I'll get my ticket this time, I promise, and I won't bitch a bit and why can't you go to detroit and to LA. too? two shows is better than one. why is that you hate el rey so much?

i got kicked out of a breeders show at the el rey for smoking a joint about 5 years ago.
but that's not it.
there are just so many great theaters in los angeles, and EVERYONE plays at the el rey. it just gets tiring, thats all. it actually is a good theater, but lanegan just played there less than a year ago.
and i might go to both. i am for sure going to st. andrews hall in detroit, and maybe to el rey. just don't know yet.
and detroit is an acoustic show.
i wonder if stp will be there?

I am completely envious of you carlito...I'd love to catch an acoustic show.

and lanegan's irish anyways, right?
why the disrespect for the motherland?
when i see him in detroit, i will ask him to play belfast on your behalf.
and i will also ask him to start and end the show with sideways in reverse.
