This is as short a shortlist as I would dare!
There was naturally a huge response to this one, and there was no single song (or even group) that stood out - such were the eclectic nominations, only one song managed to get into double figures.
Listed alphabetically rather than in any order of favour.

It's one of those that can be in either - I'll Take Care of You is certainly an album of covers, but also a Mark Lanegan solo album so is equally valid in either section. There were a lot more of these (pretty much the entire album) that featured in the nominations for this category but just missed out on the final cut. CCoL did very well in this one  |

My gaw, I would've expected more votes than that. It really is one of my all time favourites, mainly because of the story behind it and how powerful mark sings.
It's my own fault though for not sending in my shortlist. meh.. But it is worth mentioning Hospital Roll Call!!

Well, if it was 10 for everyone, then I'd just use the nominations as the results. And as the nominations were sufficiently - and disappointlingly - low in number overall (ie, only just enough for any of this to have made any sense at all - itwas pretty much a coin toss to decide to go ahead with it at all), the 'winners' woud have been very odd indeed...
