New record is pretty solid. A few complaints here and there, but satisfied over all. Can't wait to see what they come up with next. The more important thing is seeing them live. I saw them in DC back in early September and it was incredible - seriously, if they're in your area, try hard NOT to miss them. Great pics by the way!

I'm totally cluesless about the subject, but seeing as the cd is in a store 1,5 minutes away from my house, I'm tempted to buy it in the advice of you guys. But.. how come you love the cd but don't like the singer? Am I missing something?

i have to admit, i'm CONSIDERING going to see them when they come to town next (i think in march) simply because of the nostalgia factor (assuming it's not ridiculously overpriced), but they'll never be alice in chains in my mind.

But his wife is a pain in the ass. The Chicago and NJ shows are on weekends. Too bad DC is on a Wed. And the singer is superb. His stage presence alone is mesmerizing.

My friend took them (the blonde so happy she looks like a cheshire cat). The band was kind to us. And they sounded incredible. I am curious--PM your complaints. I bet they match mine. And there is no need to negative up the thread.

Thanks for this. I listened to the 1st part only, so I haven't gotten to the Steelers issue yet. "Some of the best things in life are unexpected." ;D And I didn't think I could love Michael Inez more-- the sweetest rocker ever! I love the guitar he used at the Hard Rock.

Yeah, that's part of my minor complaints as well. But hey, I'm going to look at the bright side in this thread...they're coming to DC again in March!! Fuck yeah! The new material did sound pretty solid live. I really hope they play When The Sun Rose Again at these upcoming shows - best track IMO on the new album.

Just bought it. Woke up this morning with the guitar on one of the songs in my head. Usually a good sign. Need to listen to it at normal volumes but so far it is pretty good. It is hard to live up to the two albums and EPs they started with but I think they have done a pretty solid job. I love the guitar sound on this.
