With QOTSA? You're some optimistic guy...

He'll be in Europe around the same period as they are and last time they were at the same festival (T in the PArk 2005 if I'm correct) they shared a stage... Moreover it's supposed to be a Qotsa tour for the reissue of Rated R which featured Mark so it's a bit optimistic but nos so much.

Do you think it will be the same "solo accoutic" shows?
Because I really don't see this happening at Pukkelpop.
I mean those quite accoustic versions are absolutly amazing but I don't see how this could work in a festival with all the noise from the crowd and the other stages (at pukkelpop he will play during prodigy... I let you imagine the noise it will make...)

He is also playing the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh. Guid. Yup , part of the Edge Festival, although as I've now got tickets for Glasgow, London and Paris, not sure about this. It's also on when there are a million other things on in Edinburgh, so bizarrely I might not be going to a show in my home town.

And the Union Chapel is a fantastic venue for this. Solo in August, with Isobel at the Barbican in September, Soulsavers and solo in the last few months - we are being spoilt!

Does anybody have any idea of if these new dates are the acoustic set with Dave Rosser? I am seeing him at Pukelpop

Does anybody have any idea of if these new dates are the acoustic set with Dave Rosser? I am seeing him at Pukelpop Well I'll be there too and honestly I hope it's not just acoustic. Because I don't see an quite acoustic set working well in a festival like pukkelpop (too much noise, other stages noise,...). But I also don"t see how he could come with a full band for only 4 or 5 gigs. We'll see!

I only spotted the Union Chapel gig by chance - I was browsing to see what was on later in the year, I love Union Chapel! I didn't know about the Barbican gig until I saw your post - but I'm away at a festival that weekend so will miss it, unfortunately. Do we know what the release date is for the new album with Isobel?

well that sucks Shonesy. Looks like Lungsaroo won't be seeing Ms. Campbell either and since there confirmed I bought tickets to the shows in Amsterdam & Eindhoven as well as the Take Root festival. Also, Paul Weller is playing the Tivoli in Utrecht on the 16th is grabed a ticket for that too. My mom is going to be so jealous. I hope this happens this time, if there's any sort of seismic activity and shit happens again I'm going to be forced to believe that the world isn't as big as people tell me, there is no Europe and nobody wants me to know the truth. Then I'm going to start going after people. I'd eventually get to all of you but it would take awhile .
I hope Isobel schedules some more dates in after the Holland shows so I can stop hoping Mark will do a solo show in the days after. I would go aannyywwhheerree to catch one but I don't see it happening so I wish life would just crush me already.
