I think Rich was just having a laugh when he talked about them recording a new version of Whiskey For The Holy Ghost. It would be nice if it was true, and even nicer to hear, if it does exist.

Not long 'til WFTHG's 20th anniversary. A re-release with extras (all of the demos, along with the Soulsavers reinterpretation/version of the album that was supposedly recorded) would be nice...  that would be a great idea, and someone should mention that to Mark. Sub pop would likely have to be on board too, unless of course Mark plans on making his own White Cardboard official boots of the demos. |

I know Mark isn't really one for looking back, but one of those 'play the album in its entirety' tours - with a few select shows with the return of Mike Johnson, along with some female backing vocals, violin, a few of the guests at select shows - would be nice. And when I say nice... You know, when I realised that the Mexico 'Plays Blues Funeral' bootleg was exactly that, I had a similar thought to you, "Wouldn't it be great if Mark did a few live shows/bootlegs that played full albums... MLB Plays Field Songs Live ..." etc. |
