Another one from about half an hour ago... coolest video yet I really like these short video's and songs! Very bleak and estranged atmospheric feeling to the visuals and music too. I love the concept so far and have pre-orded (at my local record store) the deluxe LP because I hope the extended booklet will be filled with this creepy shit!

Yes, I like his style ... and the quote on his site is awesome:
"the things that make me right for this job... maybe they're the same things that make me wrong for everything else."

Seems to be one continuous thing - that same quote begins today's vid which was posted about 10 mins ago, and goes a bit like the end of Akira in the middle ...and ends with the beginning of I Appear Missing?

QotSA will be headling the awful iTunes Festival in September (usually descends into a drunken riot), but if you can't get a (free) ticket for that,

My Amazon copy arrived a day early and I must say I like it a lot after two listens. Dark and sexy. I also noticed that after the two listens I couldn't recognize Mark at all, nor Nick. I'm a little disappointed in the packaging or lack of booklet I should say.

I'm a little disappointed in the packaging or lack of booklet I should say. Mark's quite easy to spot (easier than on Era Vulgaris, anyway!) - during Fairweather Friends, you can hear him singing "Goodbye Blue Sky" at about the 3:10 mark. You can also pick out his throat during the oohs and ahhs during this same section (Nick and Alex Turner also present), this part of this song is probably my favourite bit of the whole album as it's hard to imagine anyone else going so far out of their way to drown out Elton John's piano, and Reg going hell for leather trying to drown everyone else out rather than have a hissy fit about not being centre of attention. It ends brilliantly as well Shame about the packaging, I have the Deluxe vinyl and it's pretty stunning (and weighty!) with the lyric book thingy. Pity though that they didn't find room for another page for the credits.

Fairweather is up next so I'll try to pay attention this time.
Yeah the cd just has an inlet with the cover on one side and the credits on the other, which is odd since that exact same credit page is also located behind the cd.
I'm loving some of the lyrics to this album.
