Im looking around trying to find some of Mark's records. Of course the usuals, ebay and discogs, are my main sources, but thought I would ask here and see if anyone had em and need some exta $ or wanted to entertain a trade? Mainly looking for Sheet, Whiskey, and Take Care. The live ones interest me as well tho, but mainly looking to complete my studio albums.
So anyone?

I have an extra copy of Mark Lanegan Band Play Blues Funeral in Mexico on vinyl. I'd be willing to trade it for a copy of Dark Mark on vinyl.

Now you're talking.
Does anyone know how many yellow WFTHG were pressed? I looked for that info some time ago and came up with nothing. Discogs doesn't even acknowledge its existence.
edit - Nevermind, it's there. But it wasn't last time I looked it up...

I got my wife's copy for $175. It's the most I ever spent on a record.
I also spent $150 on John Frusciante's Shadows Collide With People for my daughter.
And I spent $100 on Failure's Fantastic Planet for myself.
And those are the only $100 + records I will ever buy...

I think it depends on whether the poster is included or not with the yellow color too. Most I ever spent was around $140 for STP - Core orig press and from what I hear about the 2 recent pressings, the orig is the one to have. 2md most was around $120 for I'll Take Care of You

The links in those threads are no longer active. I appreciate the effort, but I'm still looking for verification beyond vague recollections... I'm sure about this info: yellow WFTHG 1500 copies and red WS 1000 copies for USA SUBPOP press. that info was taken from old subpop pages, dead link in those threads, and rewritten by myself. I'm not sure about number of coipes for yellow WFTHG GERMAN SUBPOP press, and not even sure about the existence of a red WS GERMAN GLITTERHOUSE press.

Sub Pop changed their website a couple of weeks ago, and much of the detail in their old discography has vanished. It now just states what formats something was released in and on what date. Could have sworn that WFTHG was released on the 18th of Jan 1994 rather than the 31st of Dec 1993 as it says there, but ah well. Happy belated 20th! As for amounts, it's a bit loose anyway. Only the numbered releases (ie Singles Club) were strictly limited, others were simply rough figures of "how many we initially pressed until the coloured wax ran out". Add in vinyl bootlegging (which was simple and rife back in the day, rather expensive now) and there could be any amount out there

Wow I don't spend that much for my discography ! But Mark is far to be the only one who I'm a fan of, so that's better for me

And speaking of Sub Pop, a little birdy tells me that there are tentative plans in place to reissue their Lanegan catalogue later this year.

That would be great. If true, we'll probably get Field Songs on vinyl --- finally.
Then it would be on Barrett to give us Last Words and our record collections can be complete... official releases, anyway.

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing." There's been a few of these (and vinyl copies of Broken) appearing for various prices recently on eBay. They very rarely go cheaply.
