"Well, Mike and I had been collaborating again, as we finished up the Mad Season box set. We had recorded some new Mad Season songs with Duff McKagan playing bass and 2 of the new songs have Jaz Coleman (of Killing Joke) writing the lyrics and singing..."
I'm not crazy about those "new" songs either but at least he was already part of the Mad Season world. I just feel like Mad Season was a very intimate projects between friends that we're going through similar things. I personally feel it would tarnish that if the band is going to continue with half the members replaced. Just an opinion guys. I feel weird about any band continuing their band name with new people. I never care much for velvet revolver or audioslave but at least they weren't trying to ride on the names of their old bands

McCready playing ANYTHING besides pearl jam is a win for ears of the world! Barrett and Mike are the only ones left, they are the only ones who know the whole story and they are the only ones who can decide whats best for the Mad Season name/brand. If they decide its worth doing again I will most certainly check it out because I am a fan of both.
Now that the money is gone I get more intrigued by these projects because there is no gain whatsoever, its just getting whats inside out and that is what making music is all about.
