Hey, Philly folks -- what's the deal with the listing saying it's "Underground Arts -- Wolf Building"? I'm not a huge fan of the sound system at Underground Arts. Is this Wolf Building different than the usual UA venue? I'm trying to decide between close-to-home UA vs. schlepping into NYC in the hopes of getting a less muddy sound system. From what I gather, the Underground Arts bulding is referred to as the "Wolf Building", so, unfortunately for you, I think the show will be at the same venue - the basement.

Damn, two months of touring overseas compared to about two weeks in the states. Thankfully I get to catch him twice.

I'll definitely go to the Glasgow date. I might have been tempted with Newcastle as well but Glasgow and Newcastle are back to back in midweek.
I guess tickets will be on sale in the O2 presale on Wednesday or Friday at the latest.

Deffo London, probably Birmingham - even though I live nearest to Manchester the 6.30 opening and early closing (Friday night - they'll kick everyone out and charge them to get back in again) makes it tricky, especially if he's still doing the meet/greet thing too.

Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds are all about the same distance from me, a Nottingham date would have been best for me. I'll struggle to get to Manchester with the early start though so think I'll go for the Birmingham date.

The sound system at UA can't be thaaat bad...and it's not everyday you can see a Lanegan show in your own backyard..

Same. My friend and I agreed that it was the best Lanegan show we've seen.

Yeah I saw the show in Philly last year and the sound was perfectly fine (especially compared to how horrendous the DC show sounded). Granted it was only Mark and Jeff Fielder--not sure how it will sound with a full band as the basement area is rather small but nevertheless I'm def looking forward to the show.

I agree that the Imitations Tour show at UA last year was fantastic, and would go see another acoustic Lanegan show there again in a heartbeat. But I saw two full band rock shows there that did not sound as good as the acoustic show, so I'm just concerned, that's all. I will say that I've seen the same acts in NYC and Philly back to back and every time the Philly show is better. I think artists just like Philly (and it's "no bullshit attitude", right Mark?) better. I just wish Lanegan was either big enough to play Union Transfer or small enough to play Boot & Saddle. LPTrees I'd totally do both, but Philly is just not quite enough in my backyard to handle shows on back-to-back nights. I'm not a spring chicken.
