Thanks for the review Christopher! I'm taping (audio) everything (Seattle, PDX, SFO), they aren't the best recordings but I do tape for myself first and anyone else who wants to hear 'em third. Count me in for that, please. Dublin and Belfast And I just decided a few days ago that I'm gonna go to Galway as well so I'm doing all 3 Ireland shows, excited!

Thats a lot of dropped tracks in just a few shows, probably testing them all out to ultimately 'settle' on a setlist as the tour progresses but still...

I would have been surprised, if they had kept all 23 from the first show thorughout the tour Would be nice to be listen to most new songs. Had 8 in the set, now 6/10. Sad Lover would be nice, too (and the only "doable" of the EP songs imo). But the rest seems like a BF-leftover-setlist to me. And still every time One Way Street and One Hundred Days. I wish he would play something else instead, maybe some older stuff, but especially those two have been played way too often, if you ask me.

BTW, capacity for this venue is 200 max. Tickets also went on sale a bit early (got mine!) so god knows how quickly they've shifted. Apparently there's also an audience Q&A planned

Thanks for the heads up Silence. I've just ended up getting a ticket for the Hebden Bridge gig. I have to admit it was a spur of the moment buy based on how just how small you said the venue is, as I'm seeing him two days later in Birmingham. Seeing as it's a Saturday and it's like a 75 mile drive each way for me, I'm going to see if I can make a day of it and find something to do in the area. Anybody got any suggestions?

Heavenly are taking over the whole place for a few days as it's a festival for their 25th birthday, there should be plenty going on. As for other stuff, it's in stunning countryside so there's plenty to see if you like hills, trees and pubs.
Nice for this sort of thing to take place away from the usual locations (ie London), and only an hour or so from where I live!

Thanks Silence. Yeah I'm actually really into my walking, but don't want to do a good hike if I'm going to be stood at a gig in the evening. Don't suppose you know if it's standing or seated do you? Anyway I'm sure I'll find something to do. Just looked at some pictures of the town and its really picturesque. As you say it's great to get a special gig outside of London.

Am guessing it's standing but not sure - this seems to be something that's been booked very recently so actual details are probably still to be hammered out! With it being a festival and the audience thing as well I wouldn't expect a full set, probably something more akin to the Meltdown show. Hope it becomes a CD down the line too...

Quite a while since I was last in the Trades Club but from memory It was a mixture of standing and fixed seating (some seating booths close to the bar). Got my ticket! Also going to Shepherd's Bush but love it when I can combine a gig with a long weekend at home in Yorkshire.

All makes for a nice, eclectic mix for me:
Manchester (early show, springy floor, last band I saw there was Nuclear Assault)
Hebden Bridge (just been told this has sold out now) eep scratch that - weekend festy tickets have gone, some day tickets still available
Shepherds Bush (eeww, but lots of friend meet ups)

Hey y'all been an age since I was on here. Thanks Silence for the heads up about Hebden, so excited, I've got my tickets. I was in Hebden a few years ago, so gorgeous there. I'll be getting my Bronte on in Haworth and maybe get lost on the moors as usual. Also you can visit Ted Hughes' house and the grave of Sylvia Plath in Heptonstall too. I'll be popping over to give her some cooking advise.
I'm also doing B'ham and Shepherds Bush. Gonna be fun!

I've just got tickets for the Hebden Bridge show... not too far from York. So, now I get to see him three days on the trot. Great! Let's see how getting there and back on the train works out... Hope to meet some of you there!

Yeah thats what I'm hoping for TBH, something a little different from the rest of the tour, a maybe more stripped down or acoustic set Hey y'all been an age since I was on here. I've just moved closer to Nottingham city which is why I'm going to the Birmingham show this time instead of Manchester.

Hey chapeuzinho, good to see you back on the boards. You still in Nottingham? I've just moved closer to Nottingham city which is why I'm going to the Birmingham show this time instead of Manchester. No, I moved in April down to Cambridge, but seeing as most bands rarely play in the fens, and why would they, I am heading out to the smokey cities. See you in Brum. x

I still am not too happy with the sound at the Neptune in Seattle, but the show left little to be desired, even with the hiccup during Coastline of Lights. IT WAS wonderful. THE MLBand has their shit together, and sound so solid to the point where I was focusing more on them than at Lanegan. All that changed during the acoustic encore, though. HIS VOICE> youtube videos do no justice. You have to factor in the sound quality of the venue, and camera capturing the video. They seem to be having a lot of fun on stage L.A was a little weird for me, and that's all I'd like to comment as to why. I'm so glad I was able to hear the additional songs in Seattle. At the El Rey, the crowd could be right up next to the stage, and as Mark usually looks down, there was my face singing the words back up to him. So I felt awkward anytime I would look up. Also on that note, it was cool to see Lanegan tap his shoe enthusiastically to the songs/music. Its weird to say, but i always see mark as this wonderful child [even though he's around twice my age], and it just makes me happy to hear and see him happy/doing what he loves. IT WAS GREAT to hear Shelley sing along on four of the songs. Again, the band was solid in their instrumentation. They [esp. Aldo] add something of their own to the songs. Its not note for note off of the album, but really given an infusion, while still maintaining his style. I THOUGHT I HEARD THEM SAY THEY WOULD SWAP OUT one of the songs for Sad Lover as a certain fan from S.F wasn't going to any other shows, but it didn't happen I'll scan and post pictures soon. I hugged Mark post EL REY and got him to write 'Day of the Dead' on my venue bracelet. I am so sad that I probably won't see any more of the US tour, as they sound terrific. It was great to meet other Lanegan fans and hang with RAENI. Thanks again for all the help!
*edit: that part in Floor of the ocean, near the end where he does that extra thing with his vocals will always haunt me in the best way possible. Judgement Day too. Along with Wild People.
