Still waiting on my copy to arrive, so I just have a question: does he talk at all about the 1994 interview he did on 120 Minutes with Lewis Largent? That interview has always amused me because of how awkward it is and to my knowledge he's never talked or really been asked about it.

Excellent review Si! I agree about the mixtape idea, I should keep a couple of hundred in my workbag to give out to the people I talk too, rather than explaining.

agreed. i dont know enough about how they do their shadiness to know if what he says in the interview checks out or not. You do get recorded. Like voice commands etc...that get recorded and used later for creating stuff like Cortana. Same thing when using the net, what you search in Google gets recorded etc..and used to make a better search engine. and probably to target advertisment, and stuff I probably don't even want to know about.
I assume it's written in every software User Licences nobody reads.
As for Facebook, a while ago, I've read you gotta be careful what pictures you use on that because down the line they might be able to claim ownership of your pictures. I didn't check further, I barely use Facebook.
But it seems to me, the specialist who told him to tear down everything in his house, freaked him more than necessary. Our data are taken and used and unless you go live in a cabin in the wood without cellphone, well...it's almost impossible to avoid.

I'm surprised no one's talking about the real stand out character of the book. The leather pants.

Despite Lanegans regret for some of his output with the trees I've been revisiting screaming trees back catalogue they appear at that jools holland performance. In the past I've always been shocked at how gaunt Lanegan looks in that footage but now I think about how they lasted long enough to be traded in at his friends pawnbrokers.

Quick question. I ordered the signed book from Rough Trade and it was apparently posted one month ago today, 29 April.
I know international post is affected at this time however has anyone else who ordered from Rough Trade and had the book sent outside of Europe, received their copy, and if so, when?
Cheers
