Two different vinyl versions are up for pre-order: store.unkle.info/Per NME: It's been previewed with a new track called 'Ar.Mour' UNKLE have announced their sixth album ‘The Road: Part 2/Lost Highway’, which is due to be released in March. Check out the first track ‘Ar.Mour’ below. The electronica outfit, founded by James Lavelle, released their fifth album ‘The Road: Part 1‘ in 2017. It followed 2010’s ‘Where Did The Night Fall‘ and set up a trilogy of new records. Speaking about the upcoming release, Lavelle said it was inspired by his recent stint on London’s Soho Radio. “I started doing a show on Soho Radio in 2018, which made me think about playing records in a different way,” he explains in a press release. “It wasn’t about trying to make people dance in a nightclub. It was a breath of fresh air, and about playing a more eclectic mix. “‘The Road: Part II’ was made in the same way – it’s a mixtape and a journey. You’re in your car, starting in the day and driving into the night. The language of it was to be the ultimate road trip.” The new album features a plethora of guest appearances – including Queen of The Stone Age drummer Jon Theodore, Mick Jones of The Clash, Editors’ Tom Smith, and Mark Lanegan. Hopefully there won’t be more vinyl variants that pop up. Last time there were 4 different versions of the record and also that crazy 7 inch for Looking For The Rain with an action figure / record player weight. They tend to drip the options so suckers like me pay out the nose.

Just listening to this now and it seems that Mark's contribution is limited to a sample of On Jesus' Program on the track Requiem.
