Don't know why they needed to specify Billy Corgan is with the Smashing Pumpkins, while others like Ann Wilson from Heart is just named alone...
I wonder if the all star house band will include any AIC members.

Would LOVE to hear Mark cover something like Am I Inside or Nutshell I wonder if Mark would be doing Mad Season material? Oh yeah good call, a more likely scenario. Pretty excited for this! Though I know Mark didn't sing on Wake Up, I'd also love to hear him cover that. The Am I Inside mention came about when I also saw Ann Wilson on the billet.

Would LOVE to hear Mark cover something like Am I Inside or Nutshell I wonder if Mark would be doing Mad Season material? Mad season would be cool, but would also be cool to hear the only Alice Mudgarden song "Right Turn." Chris's daughter could take his place on the song, but unfortunately it looks like Mark Arm isn't listed as a performer. They could still do that though, I think it would be cool.

It was also cool to see Jeff Fielder on a bunch of songs. From Jeff’s FB.... Soooo, this thing drops tonight. Full disclosure. I got the gig as musical director for Founders 2020 at the end of last year. Pretty killer gig. But as 2020 went into full kick your ass mode, we all assumed it was canceled along with every other gig in the universe. Only 2 1/2 short months ago it was green lighted to go virtual. And off we went. So tonight at six it goes out to the world. I had the pleasure of putting the “house band” together. We did some actual playing at MoPop over two days with some very special guests. And also put together two songs completely remote that I was in charge of. Those feature no other than Nancy Wilson(yeah, that Nancy Wilson) Liv Warfield (super amazing) Maggie Björklund( incredible) and my boss for the last 11 years Mark Lanegan. I basically got to choose the songs and mix these incredible..well, legends. The band needed to be bad a.f. of course but also able to do self recording and work quickly with file sharing. An absolute privilege to be able to do this with them. Them being Andy Stoller-Bass Ben Smith-Drums Ryan Waters-Guitar. Having said all that. We have no idea what this is going to look like. So I’m interested to see how it all comes together tonight. For those of you that don’t know, The Founders awards is an annual event and I’ve had the pleasure of of being involved many times through the years. But it’s a private event and has never been televised or anything like that. So the fact that this one is going out to the public, and for free, is a great thing for fans of the recipient. So another little silver lining. So much thanks to Andrew McKeag for thinking of me for this. AIC has been a big deal for me ever since seeing “We Die Young” on Headbagers Ball when I was like 16. So this quite the honor. And getting to do a couple with Lanegan knowing his history with Layne and Jerry. Pretty special. So watch this thing. Should be a pretty rad thing. Keep on keepin’. JF.

For anyone with Amazon Music I believe that most if not all of the songs from the MoPop gig, including Mark's two, are available to stream.
