Wasn't there a difference in the vinyl version vs. the digital version of "Sleep With Me" when this originally came out? I want to say there was a mistake made on that song at the time....

I want to say there was a mistake made on that song at the time.... they screwed up the cd, I'm not sure about the vinyl. on the cd release (as I recall), Track 8 was supposed to be "sleep with me" followed with the instrumental mix "version" as a hidden track. Somehow the real song got omitted, and the hidden track instrumental was the only song that appeared as track 8. The missing song was available to download for free from mark's official website at the time.

On the back cover are eight songs listed, the eighth as "Sleep With Me / Version". Anyhow, on the CD are nine seperate tracks, the eighth being the regular "Sleep with me", the nineth then the "Version". What a great piece of music this EP is, it is still one of my favourite works of Mark.

I bought the CD right after release as well, mine has 8 tracks listed, same as yours, but instead of 9 tracks on the cd there are only 8.

The 2021 RSD version doesn't have the "normal" Sleep with me - but only the dub version... so same mistake AGAIN... Can't believe it,,, the quality control is a MESS these days...

Got a few items from RSD but happy enough with my existing 9-track CD here so didn't bother with this.
Picked up releases by AC/DC, Mogwai, Black Francis, U2, Joe Strummer, and Wolf Alice.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRESSING FOLKS! In addition to the justified complaints above, this 2021 pressing SOUNDS LIKE SHIT. I'm using CAPITALS to WARN YOU!! No Bass. No Dynamics. Sounds like mastered through mud. Desperate audio. No comparison to original UK/EU 2003 10" pressing or even the CD.
Unless you like the excellent artwork, avoid and please please please save your money!
