Got my CD today. Wonder if this was Marks last recording? Apparently the vocals were recorded for this in September 2021, so I'd imagine that there's a good chance he recorded some stuff after this, though I have no idea how complete any recordings would be (I believe he was recording in Belgium the week before his death for both Black Phoebe and solo stuff), though what will ever be made public or for general release is anyone's guess. |

I didn't like this song the first time I heard it. But upon subsequent listenings it's become a "yes" for me...
I've traveled to places to see Lanegan play - all within the US. I considered traveling to Scotland & UK to see him play in December 2019 but work considerations & no more vacation days had me nix the idea. Then the pandemic. And now he's dead.
Mark died on 2/22/2022.
The Ukraine war, Russia invading Ukraine in a 'special military operation' happened on 2/24/2022.
I've seen Gogol Bordello in concert a few times [gypsy punk music, the lead singer is Ukrainian whose family fled Ukraine to the US when he was a teenager as refugees], seen the Gogol band play including 'why not go?' concert at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn NY on New Years Day 2022.
I'm traveling to Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland to see Gogol Bordello play next month (June 2022).
