UNKLE are releasing a new mixtape next week - Rōnin II. It includes ‘Looking For The Rain’ (Rōnin Reconstruction), which presumably features Mark as he was tagged in the IG announcement post.

Had forgot he mentioned in "Sing Backwards and Weep" about an unreleased song with Scott Weiland and Stone Temple Pilots: "We'd hung out a few times getting fucked up and I had even sung on one of their songs for an album that was never released." This was mentioned in chapter 30, so maybe around the 1995 time frame, but I don't remember anything about an STP album that was never released in that time frame. Purple was in 1994, Tiny Music 1996, Talk Show 1997

I asked Chris Goss about it many years ago and he told me they recorded more than the two songs that got released but didn't get to finish an album.

I guess ML actually talked about this some in a rolling stone podcast from 2020. I found it mentioned in a reddit thread: " https://www.reddit.com/r/stonetemplepilots/comments/tagcv2/mark_lanegan_sang_on_a_tune_during_the_shangrila/ Had forgot he mentioned in "Sing Backwards and Weep" about an unreleased song with Scott Weiland and Stone Temple Pilots: "We'd hung out a few times getting fucked up and I had even sung on one of their songs for an album that was never released."
