This pisses me off. I just found out about these releases and they're sold out already. Forget about how overpriced they are. I would have paid it. Make enough for everyone who wants one. Fuck. The stuff sold was the remainder of the tour merchandise stock from 2020 by his estate. No doubt the estate was paying to keep it in storage. No more copies will be made of these type of bootleg releases. I have no idea what his estate will do with his back catalogue and other unreleased music, however.

No more copies will be made of these type of bootleg releases. How do you know this? I'm guessing there's a lot of recorded gigs that could be released? I think Cameron4321 is right re the prices - I struggle to get my head round the price of vinyl. I still think a cd is £10.

I do not see this as price gouging at all. Mark sold vinyl for 40 euros a piece at his concerts during the last tour. We should just be thankful that these actually saw the light of day and hope that the funds are all going to Shelly. It's just so sad and I'm going to have a hard time listening to these new live shows, but god damn that band with Aldo on keys and Jeff on guitar was hot shit, so I'd gladly pay out the nose for any live shows. I loved the band as it was, though reading an interview with Aldo and others just after Mark passed, it seemed that Jeff was going to be replaced on any 2022 dates by Geoffrey Burton as Mark wanted a less rootsy/more punky sound. One of the many things with his passing that would have been interesting to hear live, but which is never to be.

I'm only going to guess but I think Lanegan and the band had previously said when the older 'bootlegs' were released that they would only sell those that were pressed for the gigs and that then no further copies would be pressed. Following that logic with these would lead to the conclusion that there would be no more. However, that was obviously something said before the sad events of laselis vt Feebruary when the band were still touring, and so maybe in the future we will see them reissued in some form (perhaps due to the size of Lanegan's fanbase, a large vinyl or CD reprinting of these hows may not be cost-effective for the estate, but perhaps an MP3/Streaming release via Bandcamp or something like that may a possibility some way down the line). We can but hope.

My comment was based on this batch sold by Rough Trade being a one off to clear the remaining stock from storage. Whatever the plans are for future releases I have no idea, and its down to the estate, but it would surely be done through a label unlike these self-released items.

Additionally, Mark already worked with Rough Trade in the past when he released Dark Mark Does Xmas on white vinyl back in 2020, so it was probably super easy for the estate to hand those over to Rough Trade and get them distributed quickly. If I recall, they were priced around 35 euros each at the time they were sold at Rough Trade. The cost of pressing records has gone up significantly in the past few years as well....sorry, I keep defending the cost, but it is what it is.
Again, I'm just happy that these finally saw the light of day. For what it's worth, I'd be more than happy to see another repressing of all of the past "tour only" vinyl and cds, so that they are more widely available to fans. In fact, there were plenty of concerts that were only available on CD that never made it to vinyl, so hopefully the estate will consider pressing those to vinyl as well.
These concerts were only available on CD and never pressed to vinyl, so hopefully the estate will make that happen:
MLB: 1) Teatro Kapitlal = Live in Madrid April 1 2012 2) Live in Dusseldorf Zakk - Aug 27th, 2015 3) Live in Studio Antwerp Dec 2011 4) Live at Webster Hall, NY May 10 2012 5) Amsterdam - Leap Year, Feb 29 2012 6) Warsaw - Proxima Club, March 19 2012
Mark Lanegan With Duke Garwood 7) The Night Porter Plays Imitations and Black Pudding
Mark Lanegan 8) Live int eh Fields of the Daparted - Hollywood Forever Cemetary, june 12 2011 9) Sing Backwards and Weep - Voxhall, Aarhus, Denmark Aug 31 2021 10) Live at Leeds - Brundenell Social Club April 24 2010 11) Live at Espalanade Hotel, Melbourne, Australia, June 9 2010
W/ Isobel Campbell
12) Live at The Barbican London, 2010
W/ Soulsavers
13) Troubadour, LA 2007
Good lord, I'm the world's greatest Lanegan fan and I don't even have that Soulsavers live cd. If anyone has a digital copy of this, please PM me!....and how fucking cool would it be if the estate took these 13 already recorded concerts and released them on vinyl.
What a treasure trove...and we all know this isn't the end....Black Phoebe still needs to be released.

Another thought I had was that I think on Mark's last tour (maybe last two tours), I'm sure he recorded them....but....I don't believe he changed the setlist up very much, so I doubt there is a ton of variance in songs on those final tours, thus, probably only one or two nights that were very different (if they were ever to release any new live shows).

Ooh um, may I have that link as well? I was going to offer a d/l of my digital copy of the Soulsavers 2007 show - I also have a couple of other SS love bootlegs too. I'm gutted to have missed the sale on RT, especially the Turnhout gig - what a brilliant set list!

Thanks for your generosity. Just curious, does anyone have these in Flac? I have several of these on LP, but missing many that are no longer available. Hopefully some of these get repressed someday, but I doubt it. Maybe his estate can work out the legalities and offer them as a digital download service or official bootleg sets like Henrix's Dagger records, etc... Just dreaming...

'Sister' and 'Deepest Shade' are the standouts on the Stone Pony' record IMHO.
The 'Knuckles' vinyl has been a mess for me. I decided to order a second and, hoping that Rough Trade would bundle the shipping, made a new order before they sold out since they were unresponsive to my inquiries about adding one to my existing order. They declined to bundle them so had to pay huge shipping to USA twice. Whatever, I'll take the hit. But upon arrival, both 'Knuckles' records were slightly warped even though one was shipped with the other 2 releases and the other was shipped solo. Maybe it's a manufacturing flaw or they were stacked wrong in storage. It doesn't affect play but still miffed after paying almost $100 for one record. Then, after all that, the sound quality is not good; it lacks low end and is fatiguing. Oh well, it's a great performance and track list plus it is the last of the lifetime concert pressings so I'm happy to have it. Geez do I miss looking forward to the next show. RIP Mark.
I don't have a lot of spare time but when I get some I'll try to make a recording of 'Knuckles' too, despite the quality issues.

Thanks oneone2 for this , I'll give it a listen later tonight! The last year hasn't been the best Lanegan wise(fuckin nightmare). Been to numerous gigs over the past year but it doesn't top the feeling you get before, during and after a Lanegan gig but like I've said before, lucky enough to experience this. STAYSAFEPEOPLES!
