i have to go into work yet again and because of my back i have to take the train cos riding my bike is out of the question, and i really really really do not feel like standing on the platform again waiting. It is one of the moments i feel so unhappy and alone. And all this for 2 hours of work. God. Ughhhh.

My Chem II labs continue to be infuriating. I'm not stupid. I got a fucking 105 on the first test. But the labs make me want to cry. Its probalby because, this semester, they have absolutely NOTHING TO DO with what we are covering in lecture. Our teacher has a horrible attitude- he's been doing this too long and has no empathy for people to whom this is all new. And I was still there at 9:30 pm.... how the hell is anyone supposed to do anything accurately in Inorganic Chemistry Lab at 9 pm after getting up at 7:30 to go to work until 2 and then journey into town for the day's epic 4-5 hour Chemistry class? I didn't get home until 11. Wednesdays are too long. I'm too old for this. It was hard enough when I was 21 and an art school senior and pulling LONNNG days of class/print lab monitor for $5/hr!/seminar lab/homework.... I never thought I'd ever put myself in a similar situation again. (Why I didn't just go to bed at 11 instead of sitting up drinking and stewing is a whole other can of worms....)
(The carrot on the end of the Chemistry hell stick is- a grad school program with full endowment and a stipend.)

Inorganic chem? That's usually the last course anyone has to take. But labs are my favourite.

The course series I have to go through (as pre-requisites for the graduate program) is Chemistry I, Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II. Our lab has "Inorganic Chemistry Lab" painted on the door.

Oooh, so it's not actually the hardcore inorganic chem that I had to face in second year probably. Let me guess---equilibrium, acids/bases, electrochem, kinetics, and thermo?
Organic chem I is a chore because the material is dry, but the second part is usually much easier being focused more on reactions.

Why must there always be a psycho neighbor?
Today I got yelled at by the lady who rents the third floor because, heaven forbid, my mother parked in her space for a whopping 5 minutes while she ran in to use my bathroom after dropping me off. My mother apologized to her. I apologized to her. She kept yelling. I shut the door and walked away.
My landlord just called me... I didn't answer it. This is so overblown. I'm tempted to make a "NO SOLICITORS OR PSYCHO BITCHES" sign for my front door...

Do it!! I can't stand unreasonable people.
I am thankful every single day that I don't have neighbors. I have drama from the minute I walk into the high school until the minute I leave most days, so I would probably freak out if my neighbors gave me more.
It took me years to meet the neighbor 2 huge lots away. Luckily, he is one of the coolest people I now know. And he can fix just about anything. He tries to save me money all the time with my car and house. But the best thing about him is that he is just as private as I am.

Religious zealots. Judy Vanderwerf of Jenison, left, whose brother died in the Vietnam War, argues with protester Shirley Phelps-Roper, right, of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, across the street from the funeral of Sgt. Rick Herrema, who was killed in Iraq. Who could protest at a funeral??

They're hardly religious.*
Edit---They're religious, but they're hardly following all the teachings of the bible. Just a select few they like.

UGGGGH iTUNES!!!! DAMN YOU!!! I have spent way too much time trying to make you work. Its all your own fault- all I did was download that upgrade to the new version you're always nagging me about. And now, you look fine, but you won't play my fucking songs! I've tried literally EIGHT solutions to this so far with NO FUCKING LUCK! When am I going to be able to listen to music on my computer again???

Does anyone know of a viable alternative to iTunes for managing my iPod and automatically downloading podcasts?

I have to throw away a bunch of cardboard. There's no recycling at my apartment building and I can't figure out what to do with it. I'm such a hippie this is really painful, putting recyclable stuff in the dumpster!
