It'll be worse when you have to pay it back.

It seriously boggles my mind how Bush can be leading in the polls. I REALLY don't get it. Do most Americans not know how the rest of the world sees the US?

god, it makes me sick.
I really hate how we look and the reputation we now hold.
PLUS, I don't trust the polls.

That deficit thing will cripple the American economy later. Vote for Bush & you're a fool. Take a look at this map slate.msn.com/id/2106527/. There are a lot of damn fools out there. I absolutely cannot believe the number of people who think Bush is doing an outstanding job. I just don't get it. It's frustrating to say the least.

From my experience, the majority of people have no clue that the rest of the world basically hates us. They just don't get it. These people don't take the time to learn about how other cultures work.

I'm hoping to catch the debate in full this weekend - depending on which side of the fence (the Right Wing side, or the slightly less Right Wing one) whichever member of the media happens to be commentating from, Bush was either confident or incompetent, and Kerry was concise or evasive.

I just don't get it. It's frustrating to say the least. VERY FRUSTRATING! There are a lot of people who just don't question events going on around them. They go with the flow. What amazes me is that all other issues are getting brushed aside. Freedom of speech & choice are being completely ignored by the issue of Iraq, which is a huge issue, but on a daily level, its the freedoms we're losing that no one is discussing that will really be the sinker. Not to mention, bringing back the draft (I read an email that said women might be included in it?!)

I agree with you LDG... (don't forget to bring the female soldiers back home, too) AND even more importantly, our freedom of CHOICE is threatened now more than ever. Right on Lava!..and good point STP!<3 Bush's plan is destruction, our country is falling apart. ...and I'm very aware of how other countries see us, especially Europe. I post on a UK messageboard and they think Americans in general are thick as pigshit. They don't have a problem with me, but that's the mentality of most of 'em.

Oh, I'm very well aware of all that grams. It's just a glimmer of hope that I can hold onto is all. What matters most is electoral votes. Kerry has California which is, what, 55 electoral votes. Hopefully he has Washington which is a measly 11 electoral votes. He probably has Michigan, Pennsylvania, Illinois and New York.... and with a lot of voters swinging his way, I'm just getting excited that maybe, just maybe, he'll win the election.

Trouble is, nobody still knows what Kerry actually is going to do with/to the country. This is what I can't stand about political situations such as this where the only alternative to a dangerous man is someone who is probably not quite so dangerous, but there's the slight chance that he might be. Given those options (unless Kerry decides to let the populace know why he should be President - it's kind of the norm at any job interview to let people know what your skills and ideas are), the voting public are going to be far more likely to go for the "better the devil you know" and give the job back to Bush rather than someone who steadfastly refuses to give any indication as to what he has planned for the little things in life such as their finances, their employment, their welfare and their children's lives. Or they'll possbly do what they did last time round and simply not bother voting at all, as the choice between a dangerous halfwit and a complete unknown quantity (which is pretty much what happened last time round) will simply depress the voters into total apathy.

I admit that I don't really know what Kerry has planned, but I've seen what Bush is capable of and it really scares me. I swear he's the fuckin' anti-Christ. Anyway, I'm just willing to give Kerry a chance and at least he supports stem cell research. I know there are many people sticking by Bush's side because they're more familiar with him and that's just lame. Time for a change!

first off, both these guys are pure douchebags.
second, i am a republican, and let me tell you something, that fucker doesn't stand for republican values. republican values do not include domestic espionage, removal of human rights, invasion of privacy, reckless spending of billions, lying and deceipt, environmental destruction, or bigger/invasive government.
the man must go, and if the only way to do it is by letting a bleeding heart liberal with no plan whatsoever into office, than so be it. the very idea of kerry in office also gives me the willies, but it's the risk we all have to take to keep our familes safe and employed. but be prepared to donate much more of your hard earned wages to ensure some lazy douchebag can continue smoking crack by the river and panhandling all day long without a job. thats a democrat's specialty, raising taxes you know. get ready.
but i gotta vote for kerry. anyone with a brain and a conscience has to. republican or democrat.
and don't believe the polls, or poles for that matter. keep in mind that pollsters poll only those that are registered voters and voted in the last election (4 years ago). a lot has changed since than, what with a multi-billion dollar war and a terrorist attack, so don't be too sure the new voters will go for bush. most will go for kerry, so there is hope motherfuckers.
