Yeah, I feel you, Trums. I just paid $110 for Soundgarden BDO sideshow and $80 to see Mondo Cane with Mike Patton. PJ was just that fraction too expensive at $120....

There are a couple shows in Portland this week I wish I could see :/ So close, but SO FAR.
I'll start off the new year next week with Black Whales, then end January with the Alabama Shakes. Super excited for that one. Unreal voice.

Next month, I'm absolutely torn between A Winged Victory For The Sullen in Manchester and Wolf People in Leeds, both on the same night (Jan 14th). Currently leaning towards the former, as I have a feeling that I will never go to a gig quite like that one... Other than that, I'm off to see Shearwater in March, as well as 4 Mark Lanegan Band shows (Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London) plus the various complicated and wonderful meetups that will be going with them

I really enjoyed it but I was surprised that not a lot of people were in their seats for their set.

They are not too old, they took 5 songs to warm up and after that it was back to their old tricks.

Mogwai 6/16. Hopefully. This show had been postponed twice so far so I'm hoping third times the charm...
In the past week I've seen a ton of metal bands and Radiohead.

;D i'm a bit curious.. hope they're not too old on stage to move.. but i guess musically it's gonna be great I saw them last September when they opened for Pearl Jam....they rocked! I really enjoyed it but I was surprised that not a lot of people were in their seats for their set. they we're good. but it was a bit as i exepted.. (from far) they still look like young grungers, but they don't jump around anymore.. but the garage sound was great, sometimes not that tight as it should be. but still a good concert afghan whigs killed my heart. nothing more to say. and why i write in here again is: in a month i'll finally see bonnie prince billy ;D

I would have gone, if I hadn't booked my family vacation before finding out about it. I missed the XPN fest too. I definitely want to go next year. Did you go? How was it? I leave for Lollapalooza on Thursday! Can't wait!
