Best of the bunch so far - tiny venue, absolutely packed. Downside to this of course is that it was really hot in there and my hair is now all tangly and unmanageable The band seemed tighter than ever, and Mark's voice was on top form and he was as relaxed as I've ever seen him - even joining in with some surreal audience banter at one point... Setlist: Sideways in Reverse Hit the City Wedding Dress / Slide Machine One Way Street When Your Number Isn't Up No Easy Action Miracle Like Little Willie John Can't Come Down Resurrection Song Driving Death Valley Blues I'll Take Care of You Skeletal History Methamphetamine Blues Encore: Blues for d Autopilot Ivy Gospel Plow As with Manchester last night, Autopilot is now performed by the whole band rather than just Nick & Mark, and Gospel Plow was the 10-minute version that seems to be a replacement for Fix. The band - without Mark - also did a noisy little number right at the end with Brett on vocals. No idea what it was though, so if anyone was there tonight and can shed a bit of light on it, then ta muchly. No Shelley Brien again tonight.

That is indeed odd. Was there a mic set up for her? She must really be horribly ill.
Have you been taking pictures and writing reviews for raeni to use? I like reading everyone else’s take on the shows and I especially love seeing the pics. It’s like my own little way of feeling like I get to experience these shows.
How was Nick tonight? I have to say that I'm becoming a huge Nick fan. I really enjoyed the set he did in Seattle. I know that his material isn't for everybody but I really liked it.

I wish Mark would come play my way....I can't be flying over to England all the time. Although I do have many fans there.

No mic was set up - same as last night. We'll just have to wait and see if she makes a re-appearance on this tour. I hope so, if only because I really want to hear Strange Religion sung live (although this would sadly mean less Screaming Trees stuff to make room for it). No photos from me, although there were loads of people taking pics all the way through Mark's and Nick's sets, so one or two might find their way here at some point. If I get time at the end of the tour I might knock up a review, but it's never an easy thing to write about - everything's been pretty much top-notch all teh way through, and with such little variation between sets on this tour, it's difficult to find something to add to all the other reviews already up...
Nick's been an absolute gem - he's completely off it (although in an extremely charming way) during his own set, and a little picture of concentration during Mark's. Given the tiny amount of time he's had to learn the songs (although his increasing confidence with these is really bringing the band together, especially during the encores), he's doing a great job. And he's really unassuming during the band's set, standing at stage left out of the way and letting the spotlight fall on them rather than being all rockstarry about being there. Top bloke.

No, wait, that sounds more like a comic strip hero. Your super powers would be the dreadful combo of smoke and sultry vocals.

Have you been taking pictures and writing reviews for raeni to use? Yes, please do send stuff in. I know I'm a slow-ass, but tonight I managed to get 13 different people's sets of pics up, as well as some reviews and articles. Haven't had time lately, so crammed it all in today, but at least there's more to look at now!

Downside to this of course is that it was really hot in there and my hair is now all tangly and unmanageable ......I find John Frieda works a treat for most fuzzy hair problems

It's going to be in front of rather a lot of people - frind of mine at the club where I play darts has just had a breast cancer op, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. I offered to shave all my hair off as a gesture of solidarity, and it's gotten to the point where I'm having it done in the club as part of the Xmas do party...

If your hair is really long and in good condition (never been colored or anything) you can donate it. Some organizations will take donated hair and make wigs for cancer victims. Seems like a good cause. Just thought I'd mention it to you.
btw, I think shaving your head to show empathy for your friend is an amazing gesture.

I was thinking of having it woven into pants As for the extra song last night, Oren suggested that it may be an Enemy song, and I'm inclined to agree. No iea which one though as I never got the CD on the tour last year and a "proper" release doesn't seem to be forthcoming

How about a hairshirt instead? On the Enemy song: That would be fab for Mark to cover an Enemy tune. I would love to get my hands on some Enemy material.

Wow, Foz, what an absolutely amazing gesture. As if I didn't think the absolute tops of you to begin with. I hope your friend pulls through it well.

Just thought I'd drop in - nice place you have here...
Was at the cockpit the other night and have to agree - the best show I've seen him do.
Marvellous.
Have to go against the flow and admit I thought Nick sang like a duck with bronchitus though. Nice to see him playing well though.
