I feel very lucky in having seen Mark live in concert 4 times now!! First time was in Nov 96 (my first ever gig!) with Screaming Trees on the 'Dust' tour. At the London Astoria in Oct 98 solo, with Mike Johnson as support. Fantastic. At Islington Academy in Oct this year, with Duke Spirit as support. Awesome. Lastly, on Dec 1st at Bristol Fiddlers, well you know the rest! I have a feeling we are not going to be seeing Mark on these shores for some time

I don't know what the hell is wrong with me! I even live in Seattle and never saw Screaming Trees or his solo stuff. The one time I tried to see him he got sick and had to cancel. Anyway.... I bet walking around is a good way for Mark to unwind, get away from people and clear the head. I love to get out and walk around when I have the time. It's always a stress-reliever.

i saw the trees in 91 on the sweet oblivion tour . it fucking rocked . they were getting drinks served to them on stage by a waitress. mark broke his mic stand and the brothers were flailing and wailing all over the stage . it sounded great and savage . the drummer was killing it . oh yeah the club was pretty small too. it was called the edge in palo alto ....... i also saw qotsa play a live in store in san francisco . stange to stand in a record isle and hear this band for the first time . it blew me away. dave grohl wasnt playing oh well . . . . . this is my first time checking out this site . i love mark lanegans voice and look forward to talking to some of you folks soon . peace . thinacidangel

As a solo artist I think it's 8 times now, plus probably half a dozen Screaming Trees gigs and something like 10 shows with QOTSA (and that's not counting all the Queens shows I saw before Mark hooked up with 'em. Hell, I even saw a few Kyuss shows back in the day!)
Throw in guest appearances with Nick Oliveri (I'm talking about one of those last minute 'guerilla-style' shows in the tiny upstairs room of a North London boozer, not the recent support slot) and Masters of Reality, and I've seen the grumpy old bastard a fair few times.

I have only been to two Trees shows and they were awesome. I have never gone to see him solo those concerts are so rare especially in NY. I will make a point to see him next time though.
Peace
