Somebody recommend some headphones, I need something that sounds g00d and is comfortable, as I will be getting pretty intimate with them (6 hours at a time) and shizzle like that.......I have always hated them, but its a necessary evil these days so lay it one me !

seriously though. i have a pair of sony headphones at home i swear by. they look something like this. i'll look em up tonight. my only complaint is that after a few hours of use, my ears get a little sweaty. what are you using em for anyway?

firstly i am gonna be doing alot of travelling and want something I can watch movies and listen to tunes on whilst tuning out all the background aircraft and annoying person sitting next to me shit, BUT i would like them to double as a nice pair of headphones capable of working in a home studio enviroment (which pretty much rules out noise cancelling) I hear those aint what they are cracked up to be

we've got some Sony MDR-D150 headphones: they're padded but not too huge, cost under $20, and Mr Lanegan sounds good through them.
edit: though come to think of it I don't think I'd want to wear them for six hours at a time. They're a weird size that doesn't go OVER your ears like swankier ones do, rather they put pressure right on your ears, which would probabably be unpleasant after a few hours.

I gotta back up st_p.. I gots a pair of those big ones like that.. they may seem a bit bulky at first, but they're quite comfortable and sound great, and can usually put out enough noise to make your ears bleed. Plus the ones that go around your ears like that, you don't have to worry about them slipping off as much during headbanging or... yak slaughter.
I ain't down with those stupid earplug ones, yo.

sony mdr7506. write that down. nevermind what other people say. i've had them for years. they're kinda pricy, but your ears will melt before they distort. i'm not kidding. my ex would be sleeping (IN ANOTHER ROOM!!!) & wake up to tell me to turn the music down. buy these. end of thread.
