I discovered him off of the summerskiss site which deals with the afghan whigs and Greg Dulli, of which is my favorite musician. Greg is a genious. Since Lanegan was mentioned on that site, I thought Id check him out, and I have to say that I absolutely love his music. Im a big fan of talented music that isnt that main stream garbage they put out on the radio. Im coming to admire Lanegan almost as much as I do Dulli.

Which Lanegan CDs have you listened too? Have you checked out any Screaming Trees yet? He fronted that band before doing any solo stuff. It's different but in a good way.

Do you remember which ST album you had? Dust or Sweet Oblivion are the best in my opinion.

Im not sure which ST album it was, it was the one that had a song that managed to get airplay on the radio. I think it had a yellowish cover as well, but not sure. I think it was Sweet Oblivian. Was way too long ago for me to remember. Going to start checking em out next.

You are rapidly building up your Lanegan collection!
Two ST songs got a fair amount of airplay, Nearly Lost You on Sweet Oblivion and, All I Know on Dust.
NLY was on the Singles soundtrack as well and I think that was the bands more successful hit of the two??

I can't even believe I forgot to tell you about this Dragoro!! Up to this point, the Screaming Trees debut album Clairvoyance has been super hard to come by but the gods have favored us Lanegan fans and Amazon somehow has the album and it will be available 1/25 (this Tuesday!). I already pre-ordered the album and cannot wait to finally get my hands on that record. So, go buy it!

Dulli is much better at that. No offence, but compared to Dulli, everyone else is a beginner (sp) Lanegan is definitely good at that kinda thinking though, which is why Dulli brought him on board for the Twilight Singers, I suppose.

No offense but Dulli blows Lanegan away. Dulli was making great music before Lanegan was even thinking about it. They are both awesome artists, and Ive come to love Lanegans music almost as much as Dulli's, but Lanegan aint no Dulli.
BTW, thanks for the warm welcome everyone, yall really make me feel welcome here.
