I listened to his "Live Nissan Set" that he did for Yahoo! Music. I thought his Billie Jean was awful. I could not even finish it.

He did Seasons! How was it? Seasons at the London gig was fab, but only about 3 people in the audience knew what it was. We had a slightly more rock setlist.. Jesus Christ Pose sounded pretty good, and had a few moshy Audioslave ones, too. Would've loved to hear Say Hello 2 Heaven, but we had Hunger Strike, so was happy with that. Great gig, tho.

Yeah, the live show was fantastic. We got Say Hello To Heaven, I think it was the first time they did through the last tour. He also did Fell On Black Days which is one of my favourite Soundgarden songs. I didn't get tickets this time around, I was going to but, I want to see so many other bands, I have to pick and choose. He's playing here on his b-day, but I won't be celebrating with him. The LIVE shows are hot! Billie Jean sounded great to me.

I like the idea of All Night Thing. It would be maybe the only reason for me so even want to see the show. Other than that I would not care much.

I didn't realize Gary Lucas was a contributor to this album. Can anyone who has heard the album tell me if he helps save it any? He's only on one song and I don't have it so I don't have the liner notes to tell which one it is. Are you sure about this? I looked at the liner notes and thought he was involved in pretty much every song. I could be wrong tho, it wouldnt be the first time...

Well then if you have the liner notes then there ya go, I heard it was only one song. There's a few other guitarist on the cd right? 4 or 5
I don't know if Gary Lucas saves it, I think Chris should have used the musicians he has on tour with now on the cd. They seem to gel better and are more fluid than session players.

JK There's a few songs I like on it, but lyrically what he used to be really good at has slipped significantly. Plus I feel he's writing all these love songs and songs about relationships. There's nothing wrong with that, I guess it's different for him and it's what he's about now, but they're sappy and corney and awful, it's embarrassing. He's no John Lennon, he wrote beautiful lovesongs.

I've finally heard this album (borrowed it from a friend), and I guess I have to say I'm semi-impressed.
Safe and Sound is probably my favorite song from it.
