Went to the Twinz show last night in Helsinki. Have to travel all the way from Moscow, Russia to catch the boyz right there.
Got in front of the Tavastia club around 6 to met some finish friends of mine and was looking at the passer=byes... Scott Ford walked the doors in the street wear, completely unrecognized. It made me happy since I was worried if the Twinz will come at all. We went to the bar nearby to have a few drinks and I saw Villie Vallo from the HIM (some local pussy rock band) who turned out to be a big Mark Lanegan fan. We chilled out in that bar for a while listening the sound check. When I've heard "The Change Has Come" I'd known the show would be special... and it was.
Just after the soundcheck Scott Ford came in to the pub with a plate of cheeps or something but then decided that it was too noizy in there and went to have some food backstage. But then the tall guy went in with his sunglasses on with the keyboard/guitar player. It was Greg Dulli, not Mark unfortunately who as I guess went to take some nup before the show. We wished to Mr. Dulli to have a good show as he passed us to the doorway and he said thanks back to us.
I've managed to secure a spot on the left side of the stage near to the mic stand and the extra keys for Dulli to sing. It was quite a surprise for me when Mark Lanegan grabbed the stand and was just in front of me for the whole night.
There were some new song in the setlist. @spanish Doors@, @belles@... The highlight of the show was a tribute to the late Natasha from the Eleven (the Queenz keyboard player, the one and only Russian rocker I'm really proud of). The Twinz played a cover of "Flow Like A River" and it was so cool to have them doing that song.
The only let down was provocative behavior of Dulli during the encore. I knew he could be an asshole sometimes, but it was such a bullshit when he pretended what someone spit on him and he asked the crowd to turn the fook out. *Josh Homme-wannabe) I was trying to see any evidences of spit at him and it wasn't any! The bitch was just fooking with the people minds and he succeed. One big Trash Metal looking guy with long hair and a bold spot in front was called some names and he started to shout "It wasn't me! It wasn't me! I love you guys! And you, and you, and you!" It was such a disgrace! I saw Lanegan cracked the smile and hid it behind the mic. So the Dulli said that he would leave the stage if the crowd wouldn-t sing his and the National anthem and they sung "Helsinki". Dulli laughed at the Finns.
I've heard about the accident in Norway when some crazy fook grabbed Mark's leg, but this time I believe it was different. So, I hope it won\t happen in Stockholm tonight.

No second encore... No nothing. Good show "A+". The little drummer boy from Ausin almost stole the show. The git wiz from New Orleanz waz something else... The band was so tight and rocking. Love to see them again.
